  1. A lot of people seem to be having the usual FM issues (tons of shots/chances, still getting beat)... I have no idea why, but the first save (Morton of course) has gone spectacularly well for me. Wingers are still basically useless, load the midfield and play 2 up top.
  2. http://eastkilbridefootballclub01.businesscatalyst.com/announcements/club-statement-2 Billy Stark leaves EKFC for "a full-time external opportunity". Now that would be funny.
  3. https://gmfc.net/2018/04/30/from-the-office-of-the-new-chairman/ - statement from the new man at the head of the table. Unfortunately it seems the website's crashed. #BoxOffice EDIT: just read it... it's very vague, but making the right sort of noises at least.
  4. Are you blaming Duffy's departure for players leaving at the end of their contract?
  5. Fair point, but if Duffy's involved in it then that's a very strange way to announce your departure.
  6. Will believe it when it's shown somewhere that isn't the fucking Sun.
  7. horrific. letting our fans vote was clearly a mistake (lovely socks though) PS: how the f**k is Harkins half the size of Tidser?!
  8. John Baird is our second-top scorer in the league, 2 goals behind Harkins, 1 ahead of Oliver. It's definitely over-simplifying the variations of a 36-game league, but in general: if you score 50 goals*, you make the play-offs. This season we have 47. There's 1 game left obviously, but as it stands, this season has actually been Duffy's best 2nd-tier season in terms of Goals Scored as well as Goals Conceded (albeit we have 2 points less than last season so far). *St Mirren the outlier, who scored 52 goals but also had a negative goal difference.
  9. Bring back Peter Weatherson. He made a goalscorer out of Archie Campbell, imagine what he could with Quitongo...
  10. Quitongo isn't good enough for SPFL Ladbrokes Premiership football (yet) IMO. Doesn't score enough as a striker, although his consistency should improve with experience, and hopefully he won't have as much bad luck with injuries. He's not great on the wing either.
  11. 10 years ago today, our Lord and Saviour Brian Wake signed, and began his work to deliver us to safety. Amen.
  12. A lot of frustrations with the squad this season, but also a lot to like.
  13. Very badly defensively, yes. Williamson had him absolutely on toast, and even considering the non-existent defensive help Iredale was given by Ross, he was beaten all ends up pretty much every time. Having said that, I thought throughout the game he was much more composed than O'Ware and Luca on the ball (not that that's difficult), and was at least more useful going forward than Rusell has been in a while.
  14. Gardyne was shite for us, McInally didn't have a clue what to do with him. I'd imagine that didn't help the case for him signing for us.
  15. Doyle runs about more than any other player I've seen for us before - mostly in a good way. Glad we'll get another season of him bombing down the wing in the 93rd minute for no apparent reason, plus he's great on Twitter. Definitely the most positive I've felt about our squad before the end of the transfer window in a long time!
