Aye, good luck to O’Hara. It’s no secret that he and his family are Falkirk fans, and the Shiels incident made it an ‘interesting’ signing, but you can’t doubt his effort with us. He showed a lot of maturity when signing and for that he get a lot of credit. Just hope I don’t have to hate him anytime soon!

I’d keep Mahon ahead of Mochrie and McGowan. Wouldn’t be disappointed to see Mochrie return right enough. Think we can do better than McGowan.

Absolutely begging for someone to have a shot from outside the box in the first half. Chalmers must have had about 5 blocked and a couple from Mochrie who looked keen to have a go. KRH I think was the only one to take a shot from outside the box in the first half, and the less said about that the better. McCann’s goal was lovely though, on his weak foot too. His goal at Falkirk a few weeks ago was a decent hit too, nice to have someone with that ability in the squad.

I suppose it shows you how players and coaches interpret their performances compared to fans.

Aye, this pre-season will be the most exciting we’ve had for a while. Not because I’m expecting anything in particular, it’s just nice to have a good atmosphere around the club again, with a realistically ambitious manager who has a clear vision for the squad.

Section E was gaining a bit of momentum as we got promoted back to the SPL in 2011 IIRC. A feeble attempt at top flight football followed by admin and another relegation seemed to kill the notion of having any kind of singing section. It definitely feels like we have a whole new generation of Pars fans who turn out every week with Section North West. It’s great to see when we have displays, flags and murals etc. This squad seems to have a bit of an affinity with it too, something we had lost for a few years.

From the description on Twitter all I can picture is Maloney vs Ireland. Please tell me it was even slightly like that?
