  1. Second the recommendations for Córdoba, definitely worth a day trip. If you're in to history the Roman Ruins of Italica is tremendous. 170 public bus from Seville bus station to Santiponce, takes about half an hour, and is free to enter. Plaza de Espana in Maria Luisa Park is a good way to spend a few hours. They had alfresco Flamenco shows on most days which my wife assures me were as good as the ones you pay €30+ euros for... Both football stadiums also worth visiting, if there's a match on all the better. Betis were away when we were last there so took in Sevilla v. Valencia, brilliant experience under the floodlights. Pretty much everywhere is good to eat, but I'd avoid most of the places in the direct vicinity of the Cathedral, for obvious reasons. Would recommend PETRA at Alfalfa for grilled veal or Restaurante De La O across the river in Triana (loads of decent bars around there too). Seville is a class city - enjoy!
  2. £70+ a standing ticket
  3. Aye, I had similar reservations about this but thought it was excellent. Only downside was the awful drinks selection in the venue
  4. Callum Easter is really good, proper showman with top tunes to boot - enjoy!
  5. Aye, saw them at Mono on Saturday. Really good. Also Paul Heaton Friday night and The Cure Sunday. Monday morning was a struggle
  6. Too Many Zooz - Brasshouse Vol 7. No. 69 The Beautiful South - The Rising of Grafton Street Booker T & the MGs - Soul Limbo The Chemical Brothers - Work Energy Principle Penguin Cafe Orchestra - Perpetuum Mobile
  7. Agreed, it was a special night.
  8. Flaming Lips on Monday night were sensational, as usual. Got Camera Obscura Saturday, then BJM in July, Neutral Milk Hotel in Aug and JAMC in November - been a crackin' year for gigs so far!
  9. Got De La Soul, The Flaming Lips, Camera Obscura and Brian Jonestown Massacre coming up over the next couple of months, should be decent.
  10. The Glenrothes Select Reserve is only 28 quid in Sainsbury's the now; decent stuff, definitely worth an investment.
  11. Quality gig, glad a few tracks from Stainless Style got an airing.
  12. Was there the other week too. Their house ales are decent, particularly the Waylade and Ladeback.
