  1. Whoever he is, he's a bit of a dark horse. "No results containing all your search terms were found. Your search - Hombleton footballer - did not match any documents. Suggestions: Make sure that all words are spelled correctly. Try different keywords. Try more general keywords. Try fewer keywords."
  2. I think I'll leave my Cadbury's chocolate trifle for another time...
  3. I was hoping today might be a Manic Monday, doesn't look like it though. I actually prefer Sunday (that's my fun day).
  4. That's odd. How's the pitch looking?
  5. Was going to name the whole FC Hound Dogs squad but got stuck after Jack Russell and Al Sation. I really wanted to get Giant Schnauzer in there somewhere too.

  7. A bit awkward this, but the last of these teams I actually watched in the flesh was Dundee, when they were playing Crystal Palace for Julian Speroni's testimonial last summer. I was expecting about a minibus of Dundee fans that night, but I knew that prediction was going to be a bit out when I saw hundreds of them staggering up Holmsdale Road towards the ground. Must have been a couple of thousand there at least. So well played for the support you brought down for a midweek testimonial, you made a lot of friends that night. And the local pubs made a lot of money. Having said that, I sincerely hope we boot you out the cup on Saturday.
  8. I think doing the post match interviews in Cheers is a bad idea.
  9. Don't get ahead of yourself. We'll start with a cuddle and see how it goes.
  10. What happened to The Dumbarton Terrace? Enjoyed reading that but there have been no entries since the start of the season.
  11. Read down to the end of the Murray era, bookmarked the rest for later. Well written and enjoyed it all so far. Just noticed a typo on the first Aitken match, you have it down as 3-2 to Morton. Cheers.
  12. I play 5-a-side every couple of weeks and always wear a Sons strip. It attracts a fair bit of attention... Them - What team is that then? Me - Dumbarton Them - Is that a Scottish team? Me - Aye Them - What league are they in? Me - Championship Them - Have they got a Championship in Scotland? Me - Aye Them - So how long have you been a Dunfermline supporter?
  13. Sounds like it could be a blood and snotters cup classic. Wish I could be there with you guys.
  14. Totally agree with that. The chances were there this time, but as the players are so desperate to score they're snatching at any opportunities instead of looking for the better option. It's just composure that's needed. Easier said than done to get that across but maybe if one of the speculative efforts go in and relieves the pressure it may happen naturally. Maybe the experience of Craig upfront with Brophy would settle things down? Injuries have hampered the manager finding the side that works so far, I'm confident it will all come good in the end, the potential is there. Have you seen my rose tinted specs? Oh, it's okay, I'm wearing them.
  15. Due to the heat retention capabilities of the humble tomato, you could potentially heat a 3 bedroom semi-detached house for a week using only 2 cheese and tomato toasties. However, they are more commonly used for removing the skin from the roof of your mouth.
