  1. He will blame the players Edinburgh were decent in our last game, a lot of players have left since then but the manager had them fighting for everything. It's obvious McGlynn has had cigars out before a ball is kicked today.
  2. Agyeman hasn't kicked a ball for months. Four changes should've been maximum, I personally could write off a few players for next season that started today but they ain't helped with 6 changes.
  3. Dropping the supply chain of Miller, Morrison, Yeats, McCann and Nesbitt won't help them 6 changes is far too much for me, we have changed the spine of the team also.
  4. A fit Fyvie in the cove team probably makes a big difference for them, 8 games no defeats when he has played and two of his goals in those games made sure it was victories and not another draw. I think the big difference from the above is we have very good replacements/possible starters for every position. Picking a MOM rotates weekly so we ain't relying on one player. We also have our subs making a difference every week. The first 10 mins or so I thought cove looked well drilled in the job in hand but as soon as we got a foot in the game, there was no turning back. I'd have loved a 5-0 win but 4 is more than adequate.
  5. Sure I read way back when he first joined Cove that he was at one point looking at giving up the game due to being frequently injured. The season Cove won league 1 was the most appearances Fyvie had made in one season in his career so far, we were a sorry state but he stuck out like a sore thumb most games against us that season. I'd guess his previous injuries hampers him from rising back to full-time football nor would anyone want to take a chance on someone who has been constantly injured, last season missed half a season. I am not too bothered about who is in or out for Cove, we should be beating them. Cove's purple patch was mainly winning by 1 goal and by all accounts a few of them tight affairs. Another marker for this season please
  6. Sleepy Stirling title of the match thread was 1000% true. It looked like a few of the Stirling players didn't want to be there when the third went in. My mate messaged me to say this could be 7 at 2-0 then 8 at 3-0, I nearly replied 5-1 but there was no way Stirling were gonna score today. It was a superb early high pressure start and throughout it was very much like taking sweeties from a baby. I'm not a fan of the multiple subs but when you win 5-0 you can't really complain. Roll on 2024 with more of the same please
  7. If anyone believes the above is followed then I'll look for zips at the back of your head's Salford sounds about right if true, I couldn't see it being anyone above league one in England. It would be a blow to lose Morrison but the recent Montrose game when him and Spencer could've been out I posted I'd be more concerned if Lang was out. Like every winger, they can be inconsistent but I think the McGlynn management has helped him raise his levels and I had resigned to him going in 2024
  8. Just watched.....cheers for the mention Hopefully 3pts in the bag pre Saturday night
  9. Our attempt at wasting time with a corner did exactly the opposite Good first half but felt we dropped a gear in the 2nd but was good to see us going up a gear to get the win. Another day we win by more than one, hopefully saving the goals for next week.
  10. Forwards and our passing at times towards going forward was off tonight. MacIver was poor, didn't win his battles and the 3 behind were mostly out fought to the ball. I'd have had Agyeman on earlier and even swapped Allan for MacIver. Saturday was always gonna be a big game against the cove with 5 wins out of 5 but nothing is decided in December, that said we have to improve on last night, we won't win playing like that.
  11. It's gonna be my first attended game since Montrose at home 2021. I'd planned on being over for the cove game but this one is a bonus hopefully. I get we have 2 possibly 3 first 11 picks out tonight but I'm hoping it's at the top end we can win this, Ross Miller, Agyeman, Morrison and MacIver will cause any team in league one grief. I'd be more concerned if Lang was out
  12. Mr Informed I'd say educated guess work but I suppose in football on many occasions educated guesses go out the window. Bartley very much could be sacked tonight is how football can be. The fact Bartley wasn't gone after Saturday and the cringe interview to me suggests he has at least until at least to the 16th to escape being sacked or mutual agreement happening, that said dropping into the bottom two pre Edinburgh game might just make it happen before then for the new manager bounce that doesn't happen as often as suggested. The board/decision makers at the club will have one eye on a replacement I'd guess and I'm not being in the know there. I've been to Annan before to see my team play there but struggling for reference to that game or the upcoming games.
  13. Scott Brown hasn't played a game of football for nearly 2yr for a start Playing again won't be in his plans going forward and I think he'd only drop to the championship level if a club comes calling for a manager. I'd guess the December 16th game v Edinburgh will be the one that could make your board act on the future of Bartley. Edinburgh were a different beast against us with the new the manager. I had a peek at the upcoming games and Edinburgh could be above you by the time you play them, though I'm hoping you do something v Hamilton
  14. Personally think Long is better with the ball at his feet the only difference, that's not based on Hogarth's recent howler. I expect Hogarth to be no1 unless Long plays next week and extremely well, which shouldn't happen against who we are playing.
  15. If carlsberg did Friday nights Finn Yeats family member chuffed he got his first goal. He has so grown into a first team player this season, watching him telling Morrison where to run, his performance and his goal shows he is the first name on the team sheet week in week out. A good honest post match interview from Jim Goodwin also
  16. Agree 1000% I think it's helped us he's injured I'd feel McGlynn would play mcginn with Spencer, personally feel Henderson and Spencer is our best two. Great to see Lewis back today on FTV, the zoom screen is better, obviously a Lewis experience thing. Let's get into them 2nd half...we have fell out the game
  17. There was no replays at the start of the season, they suddenly appeared and I think Saturday was the first they disappeared. I said from day one that the zoom of the football area isn't as it was with previous Falkirk TV, someone mentioned similar a few posts back. I generally sit very close to a 40inch TV screen now due to this. There is plus points with the new Falkirk TV but the one thing that lingers about the old team, they experienced everything over the years to know obstacles in their way that it was really only work commitments that seen no Falkirk TV. I hold my breath to see if we will have it at some away grounds and yes I know the line in the conditions re away games. So hopefully the new team will learn this year to improve, one thing at least it's not the automated cameras that were in place in some clubs
  18. Who was the last Falkirk player to get a hat-trick?
  19. Fitness and injury problems according to Raith fans but the majority weren't happy to lose him. He may not be an automatic choice week in week out for us but he will fill in and be a sub game changer. Saturday our goal was him and I think we may have got a penalty if Spencer didn't put it away. A squad which I personally thought was sparse is looking much better with returning injuries and the addition of only two before the window.
  20. The good thing is Rice won't set up for a point,i I don't think that's in his make up. He went to win games he shouldn't in the top league with Hamilton and that doesn't seem to have changed. As per always the early goal is key, tho this team doesn't give in easily. I don't think Brian does defensive football, it's one of the things I like about him. We get a goal in first 15-20 and I can see us winning comfortably. Miller coming back has improved our options, Ross has also seems to have stepped up and will be a big player for us even if it's from the bench.
  21. We are unbeaten on grass this season so far. I have no issues at all with the time added on, I'm sure the first half was around 49 mins. The ref had a lot of petty bookings and the incident where I think McCann got halved then Spencer halved the Stirling player resulting in the ref playing on because he got the first one wrong was laughable. The refs advantage to our goal was his best moment though
  22. Personally thought Morrison wasnt at it today, Miller in his cameo was more effective in setting up more and should've squared to lawall but that's not to say lawall would've skied it. Overall I think we could've been 2,3 up at half time but we weren't and Stirling Albion had more a grip on the game 2nd half. I felt MacIver was very much isolated getting the ball out wide and Allan for Oliver may have helped more. Who knows but the jigsaw in the end worked out, high 5s to MacIver and Ross the lead to the goal. On another day we would be 2/3 up at half time tho
  23. If it goes tits up and we go part time, I fully expect a hybrid set up A lot can happen, I shudder to think of our budget this season without our cup run. We could get a cup run this season that could top last years, tho I hope it benefits our championship season I also don't post much on here, I did prefer when it was all about the football. As for BPM, I applauded his various finger pointing at the previous board in many fans meetings and I know he bleeds navy blue. I probably agreed with the majority of what he posted pre him hanging up the gloves here but I think we seen similar on here with folk who were friends with the last board posting here. I think most folk will back who you know blindly at times no matter the business. A thick skin is required, for everyone I'm guessing our home support has increased most years albeit we are in league one and failing horribly. I still believe M&M would've taken us up the COVID season, probably helped with McKinnon's recruitment, although following season they did well till a point, they needed help and Holt was not the man, Alex Smith around the place would've been ideal or similar. Managers of their ilk need time to grow, yogi could've been dumped after year one and no one would've complained
  24. My dad can batter your dad the last few pages As said in my post match post anyone judging either team in those conditions are basically no right in the head. I'm pretty sure Hamilton and Partick Thistle thought their play off games were done and dusted after one game last season(ours was) and judged the opposition as being pish. The conditions played a part and a little fear, it wasn't a game either team had to win. I reckon it will be neck and neck majority of the season with injuries, suspensions and of course results between us being key I'd also say we are capable of beating Hamilton at whatever their ground is called now and also Hamilton are capable of winning at the TFS. The last two games between us may become games that are must win games for someone, probably not so the first two
