  1. Hard to tell. They're all on the 18 yard line.
  2. Alcohol related deaths in 2022 accounted for 2% of the total. Obesity related deaths accounted for 23% Maybe it's time to focus on the elephant in the room?
  3. That's the SNP's fault entirely. They could have taken the extra back into the public purse and use it for education etc. In typical fashion they rushed it through to get headlines without thinking it through properly.
  4. It's a bit rich coming from here, then again she thinks rats are just more visible too. It makes a mockery of the whole "refugees welcome" messages considering they were happy to accommodate Ukrainians on a cruise ship. Wrong sort of refugees maybe, or just political point scoring with the Conservatives?
  5. They could be less poor by not overstretching themselves by having families and lifestyles which their incomes can't support. Just a thought? Or do you just want to make people less poor by handing out free money from the magic tree?
  6. Maybe the 2 cap limit is a sensible way to get all of the never do wells to keep their pants up and their legs shut? Child Poverty rates in Scotland primarily down to the fact that poor people continue to have large families. The mentality of these people needs to change and when it does the problem of child poverty will significantly reduce. Take a wander around any town centre and you will see people who clearly don't have a lot pushing prams around.
  7. That'll be the exception rather than the rule.
  8. Quite right too. If people can't afford to have kids then why keep producing them and then moan about being skint?
  9. Black and Blackford will be given safe seats at the next Holyrood election and probably a ministerial post. SNP has realised that they can't achieve anything in Westminster and clearly want their more competent politicians up here.
  10. She'll have this thing called "a job". An alien concept for many Glaswegians.
  11. A handy excuse for the workshy. Bizarrely it seems to be a lot more common in the public sector too. Who'd have thought it?
  12. He'll have been coached for years: imagine what he was like before? You can't polish a turd but you can stick glitter on it.
  13. She was great at winning elections but shite when it came to actually running a country.
  14. I think it's more about glasses etc. For example, if you're in a bar or restaurant a glass will generally have the brand logo on it and they believe that the wee poor weans will have their minds warped. That's my take on it anyway.
  15. 9.6 One way we could seek to reduce the visibility of alcohol brands would be to prohibit the sale or distribution of alcohol-branded merchandise including T-shirts, jackets and baseball caps as well as branded glasses and mugs. These increase brand visbility and have more permanence than alcohol adverts on TV or on billboards. They are often re-used over time within our homes or, in the case of clothing, can become walking billboards in themselves.
  16. It is a thing. https://www.gov.scot/publications/consultation-restricting-alcohol-advertising-promotion/
  17. Sadly that's what happens when you have nutters like Patrick Harvie propping up your majority.
  18. I% is still 1% that won't make it's way into an already shattered economy. Is it fair that someone in Scotland earning £25k is paying 2% more than the rest of the UK? They're not exactly high earners FFS.
  19. The squeezed middle will bear the brunt of this to give more to the layabouts and benefits scroungers.
  20. Sturgeon is a busted flush. She's been in the job too long and has let the country go to rack and ruin whilst she chases a dream that the majority of the population don't want.
