Judging by what was said when Casalinuovo first signed, I dont think he was earmarked for the first team so I would reckon there was a chance it could have been him. Also ties in with the fact he dislocated his shoulder in his last game and Mcglynn mentioning injurys to the player himself.

One that wont be happening. JM spoke to Marco Pelosi yesterday and told him that he wouldn't be signing him as he is only looking for A central defender. Which seems to put paid to the theory that Marv not signing would give us more than one replacement. Given that out of the two that are training with us and obvious contenders, is there one more adept than the other at covering more than one position at the back ?

Marco is back from Oz and trained with us once last week. As yet he hasn't been offered anything. He definitely wants to come back but at the moment nothing seems to be happening. I do know Hissy is trying to get him to sign for Arbroath if he doesn't get anything with us. Hill & Thomson have been training for the past couple of weeks. Grant Murray turned up at training last Tuesday for a chat with JM and I have been told he was then training with the squad on Saturday. Hill & Pelosi were seemingly the preferred signings if Marv wasn't coming back, it's possible Murray becoming available has given him another option.
