  1. There's no doubting Clarke has improved us no ends, but by f**k he frustrates the life out of me at times, but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt that he started with Dykes up front (miraculously on his own ) against that lot last night so he could rule him out of taking him to Germany, he offers absolutely nothing to our front line whatsoever! We had almost 80% of possession last night and done the square root of f**k all with it, it was excruciating to watch, I've went from believing we can get something against Germany to hiding in my cave again, because I now think we'll take a proper shagging! This is Scotland though so you never know, I'm not sure why the bookies have us at 4/6 to qualify out of the group through when we've never gotten past a group stage before in our puff!
  2. This is the way I see it too, that game could easily have ended up 5-5 but for poor finishing and brilliant goalkeeping, the scoreline was a bit deflating, but the performance was excellent and we can take many positives from it, we definitely need to be sharper in front of goal, and much tighter in the centre of defence though.
  3. Oh, and here's a stat for you all, Aberdeen have failed to score in 13 games this season, Lawrence Shankland has only failed to score in 12 games
  4. The Aberdeen fan who rightly said he didn't want popcorn teeth Lennon in the job, and then went on to say he wanted someone like Beale
  5. I thought Morton played us very well, they contained us in the first half knowing they couldn't go toe to toe with us for the full 90, and went for it at the start of the second half hoping to give themselves something to defend, and they were bloody unlucky not to get that, I'm not sure Clark makes those saves that Gordon did (even though he's a very good keeper). All in all, a satisfying night with the job deservedly done, but it was a good cup tie at a cracking venue with a great atmosphere, credit to Morton and their fans where it's due and best of luck for the rest of the season lads. As for the draw, it's not the worst draw really, because now Aberdeen need to beat Celtic (and probably Rangers) to stop us getting group football in Europe next season, I don't even think they would get past us just now! I was hoping for Celtic in the draw, I like a wee bye
  6. So both instances were studs to the face then and a high boot, thanks for clarifying.
  7. Sure it wasn't a corkscrew with a knife attached?
  8. The tears and snotters from the dhims are just utterly delicious, the only decision the referee got wrong was the penalty for Celtic, and not sending off their thug for the lunge at McCauley Tait late in the game, I bet tin foils hat sales are through the roof in the East end of Glasgow today!
  9. Where the f**k you getting a coconut at that time of night?
  10. Remember 4 or 5 years ago when a Hibs fan chucked his bunch of keys at the keeper, they got stuck in the net and all I could think about was, how the f**k does this guy get into his house now?
  11. Oh, and Hibs fans claiming any other teams players are divers is the ultimate piss take, the ultimate pot calling the kettle black Remember when Boyle was clean through in the first half and all of a sudden realised he's getting older now and has lost 2 yards of pace, so threw himself to the ground in a desperate attempt to make it look like he was denied a clear goal scoring opportunity?
  12. We were utterly stinking last night and Hibs still couldn't beat us, and didn't even look like doing it either, it was a pretty comfortable night for the defence really, apart from that header which was missed at the back post, that should have been buried, I guess that's what you get when you order Salah from Wish. Hibs won't get a better chance than that one as we won't be that bad at home against them again for long enough. As for ourselves, Naisy got that all wrong last night, leaving Beni on the bench was madness when we needed to win the midfield, and only the Hoff, Forrest, Clark and Kent, got passmarks over the full 90. I've genuinely no idea what Fraser brings to the table and I would be seriously disappointed if we ended up signing this lad with what he's shown so far, nowhere near good enough. I was looking forward to the 3 games against Rangers, Hibs, and Celtic, but now I'm dreading Sunday as we've hit a flat spot. Still, it's 21 points of a lead over the wee team though, and there's not a chance in hell that's getting overturned
  13. You've convinced me, although I can't help but feel our defence was better when the Asian Cup was on, I think when you're forced to play a settled back line for a run of a few games they start to gel, whereas now we're not looking so good at the back, I'd also like to see a 4-4-2 at home as we're far more settled with that, and Tait has to feature for more than half an hour in this one, I'd be tempted to start the laddie, he's earned it for me. The big plus for me is that if we get it wrong from the start, then Naisy isn't scared to change it to get it right, we're not used to that under Neilson.
