  1. Queens started well and could’ve had a couple of goals through Dobbie and McCabe.

Hibs are third in the league so they are going to dominate periods of the match.

We need a plan to deal with Boyle down the wing and adapt to the wind in the second half and we can get back into this.

But it’s no disgrace to lose to Hibs tonight and to be honest I’m more concerned with the league this season anyway.

  2. Two wins in a row and I think it shows that I (and others like me,) were not wrong to see some promise in this team at the start of the season.

There’s not a lot wrong going forward.

We desperately need some competition for places at the back. It was crazy to go with only two centre halves. And/or a potential replacement for Buchanan.

As much as I am in favour of giving the youth a chance and I love seeing home grown players coming through Cowie is still to young for a run in the team IMO

  3. Well the first issue here is the legality of his attendance. And it seems that no matter what his purpose was, he shouldn’t have been there. Even if it’s potential investment.

The bigger picture is worse. It was never in the spirit of the rules to have someone like him attending when so many die hards cannot.

Even if he is bringing potential investment, do we really want this kind of person associated with our club?

I forgave the club for the Rangers vote fiasco which sickened me to the core. Unlike a lot of people on this forum I don’t think the board have done a bad job since then. And I certainly don’t see anyone waiting in the wings that can do a better job. A fan’s takeover would almost certainly end up with a worse off club financially unless backed by rich persons. I fear the damage from this could be even worse than the Rangers vote and I cannot defend this action or the statements so far. The apology was a joke.

Get Pixelott in the bin until it’s advanced enough to decipher a ball from somebody’s bald napper. Feel sorry for the guys commentating, having to get your coaching staff to wear hats is embarrassing. The coverage is significantly poorer than ours, Dunfermline and Ayr’s.

The game itself has been scrappy, fairly frenetic, with both sides clearly struggling for confidence. We’ve done alright though. Arbroath will be disappointed, but that was a really good goal from our point of view. Terrific pass from Buchanan and quality control and finish from Maxwell. Leighfield in goals does make me nervous though, he flapped at one in the first half and could easily have went in. Important to try and keep control of the ball second half, we’ll crumble defensively if under any sort of pressure.

I think we need to appreciate here that a club like Arbroath (no disrespect, not a much smaller club than us,) would never normally be streaming games. As I said before the pixellot coverage should really be £5 max. The commentators are doing a good job and deserve better!

As an expat I'm still enjoying the novelty of the whole thing and I hope QOSTV continues live but the future of football at this level is definitely in the stadium and not online / on tv.

So it is pixellot? The pixellot coverage of our game at Airdrie was ok. Not great but better than not watching and much better than Morton! I’ll be stuck in a hotel room in Singapore so I’ll probably still watch it. How much is it?

I thought Airdrie's was awful. For £10 I'll probably still be a mug and buy it.

Relatively Airdrie's was OK. But it was 5 quid and I was expecting it to be paesh.

So far today I would say the coverage is OK but I think teams using pixellot should be charging 5 quid max.  Its not in the same league as ours or some of the others I've seen. I take it you didn't watch Morton?!

  6. I didn’t see the Raith game due work (thankfully) but I have seen us play decent against Morton, play well against Partick, very well against St Mirren being unlucky not to win and completely dominate the second half against Ayr.

Do I think we’ll win today? No. But it may not be as bad as people are making out.

Going forward we look good. Defence is the worry. IF we can sort out the defence we can take something from the game.

  7. Can't give teams 2 goals of a start and expect to get something from the game . Maxwell had shown his inexperience he will learn but at our cost .

This is our problem players with no experience asking a lot to expect them to play in the Championship going to be a very hard season .

Did you get the streaming to work?

I ask out of general concern and also because it doesn’t sound like you watched the game. Aside from the awful defending at two goals We were actually very good for most of the match. If we play like that every week we will trouble even the best defences.

Obileye and Nortey look comfortable at this level. Even Goss was very unlucky not to score the equaliser at the end with a great header. Need to see more of that from him. Gibson might be the surprise of the season. Ayr are supposed to be one of the better championship sides and he was very comfortable running at them and caused them problems.

If we can sort out our defence we will stay up this season. If we get lucky with injuries we might even challenge top 4, I think we have the ability in the team for it.
