  1. I thought Rose were much the better team today. Scored early and then comfortably saw out the game. Tranent must really improve their theatrics if they go down under every challenge from teenagers....... the left back shouting abuse at fans was laughable.. Well done JAMIE ALLAN well deserved
  2. Shocked by what? One of the few games which was potentially still on in our league was finally ruled off due to an untimely snow shower. Grass pitch was fine and looked good, but you might not remember what having a grass pitch is like. Only thing which would need redone was terracing, but given that you are used to dangerous terracing maybe that wasn't such a concern.
  3. Not convinced about what? That you're a slavering prat!???.... If you mean the pitch then I can assure you that it was playable as the 20 or so volunteers who worked hard to make it so would testify. Typically now that snow has stopped it looks playable, but terraces would need cleared of the snow.
  4. Off due to the snow rather than the pitch which was fine. All credit to everyone who worked hard tried to keep it on.
  5. Pitch not frozen underfoot so just really how the snow affects it and whatever ref says when he inspects.
  6. Or perhaps hard working committee and volunteers trying to get a game on for everyone....
  7. Everything being done since early morning, was looking good until snow came down... ,
  8. Everything being done to get the game on... Now flurry of snow
  9. From the highlights, it looks like #9 also has his hands on Webb but Webb is just stronger in pushing him off..... and then of course 9 does his customery rolling around which he seemed very adept at all game.
  10. If you went that side then you were lucky. We get an open air wall to use with no hygienic facilities ..... should have stopped being used in the '10's.... the 1910's!!
  11. Don't think so, it's the area to the left of the dug outs
  12. A rather typical derby today with most of the game played in the midfield with only a few chances. In saying that whilst the rose at least attempted to play some football on the plastic, most of Bo'ness play was hoisted up to the giant #9 up front, who was as much use as the proverbial chocolate tea pot, throwing himself down in challenges against lads half his size, trying to get fouls and bookings. Little clear cut chances but when down to 10 the fighting spirit was excellent. How Bo'ness #8 can grab Jamie Allan around the neck, sparking a melee and only get a yellow is baffling. Ref was borderline poor today, but got a little better when the absess on his ears went off........ what Gemmell lacks in ability (which is just about everything) he makes up for in trying to do the ref's job for him! Wondering he took half the ref fee also.... Onwards to Saturday now, without that god awful surface Hail the Gallant!
  13. Great result today in appalling conditions. First half into the wind we were comfortable against a team intent on kicking anything in the vicinity. Second half very good with the wind playing it on deck as much as possible and a great goal. Unfortunate injury to Broomhill lad from what looked innocuous challenge, but hope he is ok. Bit ironic Broomhill shouting for red considering what had preceded in the previous 89 minutes!!. Onwards to boxing day against the beggars
  14. Is there any doubt on the game today with the constant rain?
  15. Does the Braves ground have any cover? Images don't suggest there is....
  16. i thought we played well in spells especially in first half. going forwardwe look very good, but need to be more aware and prepared for physical teams of which Petershill were a clear exqmple. In saying that Rae skipped past that numpty centre half who tried to put him into the stand with aplomb and yet again finished superbly. We seemed to drop out a little with all the changes but as Fuzzie says, lots of players still to come in. hopefully Herdy and John know their best starting 11 now as we were debating still on the way home.. good signs but real test starts next week Hitting the woodwork 3 times and forcing their keeper into several good saves could have painted a different story, but so could their one or two chances. Better teams in our league will not make same mistakes. Only disappointment today was lack of pie hut...... nearly faded away to a mountain by time I got home.....
  17. Haa haa nice try, it is a well known and trodden term rose fans reserve for you and you know that and it is actually accepted by many who make light of it much like your insistence that we have affections for swans. Put your phone away and lie down, tomorrow's another day
  18. Omg #7 take a breath and your beating with some dignity... First half beggers deployed a solid back 4, destroyers in midfield and pace up front who were hit with one or max 2 touch from anywhere on the pitch. Your destroyers ( gemmell, haa haa fell down if breathed on needing attention5) stopped our passing game and your needed of a map and compass to find your midfield in possession 2nd half rose management sorted the problem and a ridiculous challenge from your #5 was the start of an easy win, we were comfortable to see the game out Another LL team dispatched and but for the mess of the leagues for years Bo'ness would be back in the Eos..... am right thinking they are the only eos winners * (awarded by covid) to not progress through into the SPFL? Hail the Gallant!
  19. Rolling on... wind was horrendous but I didn't feel we were under any threat all game. Interesting selection choices for next week. Good to see the youngsters Gary Thom and Jack ogilvie playing for the u-20s last night. A certain Gary thom scoring the equaliser from a corner! Good interaction between the 2 teams and the way they celebrated would make you think they were one squad! Also the 20's lads raised their game playing with the guys so something for the future to reintegrate guys coming back or bring the next signings on
