  1. That's probably spot on, carrying 3 senior centre halves leaves you a bit light, 4 with one that is hardly going to play barring injury, so 3 with a dev squad player who can step up is ideal- I guess the idea last year was Whiteside would have filled that role but wasn't very good. I'm sure fans of <<player's previous team>> told us <<player>> was going to be shite but he turned out to be <<better than average/good/amazing>> so I'll wait and see about Devine. Still pretty young as well, we must be looking for someone a bit older for the final centre half slot. I've assumed to this point both Syme and Devine are right sided as well.
  2. Said before but that’s probably my main bugbear about the game, that you can play through the main story and trillions of side missions for hours and the outcome of the main story hinges on 4 or 5 conversation choices, some of which have a countdown timer and you have to react instantly. Same with the HoS ending, though at least you can go back and replay the last mission to get the different ending.
  3. He was on the Killie list of "willing to listen for offers for" alongside Balatoni and Higginbotham so he'll still be under contract.
  4. Sun reporting we're signing David Syme from Killie tomorrow. He turns 19 next week so presumably with an eye on the development squad.
  5. How have Motherwell just pocketed £200k for the out of contract Ben Hall then?
  6. Are Wimbledon due compensation seeing as he's under 23 and they offered him a contract?
  7. Archie on the AFC Wimbledon squad page on FM, trying to sign Taylor for the umpteenth time, thinks f**k it... Agreed that pace through the middle was definitely something we've lacked at this level when we haven't had Taylor, compared to having ATS/ SOD/ Dumbuya/ Elliott / Amoo on the wings. That should really be us for attacking players though.
  8. I don't really bother with weather cards now, I do have the leader ability to clear weather in case someone tries it against me, just play it at the end of the round. Think the main thing to learn is that it's often best to lose the first round if your opponent spunks all their best cards, which the NPCs do quite often, though some are better than others. Particularly if you play lots of the spy cards (like Dijkstra) and end up with about 15 cards in the last round when they have about 8 This was one of my best efforts, certainly the one that got me the over 200 achievement. Would be OK to play against other real people though I'm not sure I'd be shelling out much on it. I'm sure you'll just be able to buy all the best cards anyway rather than earn them.
  9. Assume you'll be playing against other humans, as I've just been hammering every NPC bar the girl in the high stakes tournament (playing an extra decoy card worked) first time for ages now as I went about the collect them all achievement.
  10. He was someone that crossed my mind, but only if we were looking for 2 CBs (which we are now) rather than 1. Seemed to do OK at Morton but him and Lindsay might be a wee bit short on experience.
  11. Nice message from frans, look forward to booing him when he signs for Kilmarnock.
  12. Admittedly I wasn’t at NDP or Tannadice where he scored but I haven’t see much from Edwards other than a lot of running about, giving away numerous fouls, and passing the ball to the opposition lots. I am willing to forgive him though based on his luscious mane. Although not when he’s got it in a top knot. Other than the obvious defensive issues which we’ll know more about how many folk we’re looking for in the next couple of days, agree I’d be happy with another defensive midfielder to let 3 from Lawless / Erskine / Amoo / Edwards / Elliott / McDaid (lol) and if possible an upgrade on Pogba with him being punted. Or this could be the year of Div Wilson.
  13. Agree about Miller, though he should be taking into account Dumbuya’s fragility and also that he might be getting a game at centre half. I think he’d have to drop down a level to get a start every week and I’m fairly certain from previous discussions he’s from Glasgow and his boy is in the Thistle Weir academy (must have been a young father if so) so we’re probably a decent location for him. As for Lawless, definitely thought he’d be away, so very pleased at this.
  14. Guess it has to be something along these lines in that it’s cheaper to pay Cullen to be our 3rd choice keeper and Gallacher to be a coach rather than Gallacher as player coach, or he must have looked really dire in training over the last few months. He’d presumably get even less game time at Hearts than he would at us but I’m sure the extra wages will probably compensate.
  15. Penrice has also signed an extension taking him up to 2018, I'd be fairly surprised if he doesn't go on loan for at least part of next season. No word on any of the first team guys yet...
  16. And Welsh is shi 'ite. I see all the u20 players offered deals have signed them.
  17. Surely the north stand is the wee-er stand? *tumbleweed.gif*
  18. ^^^ that guy Would also guess any pre season games will be out the way before the LC starts on the 16th July <<< also that guy edit: if it's 9th July that's a Saturday. Could be good.
  19. Bottom half of 2nd division in the season just finished, they are one of Germany's yo-yo / elevator clubs who have had an incredible amount of promotions and relegations from 1st to 3rd tier in a short space of time. Duisburg's late revival seems to have been in vain as they're 3-1 down with 45 minutes of the second leg to play and need 3 goals without conceding.
  20. Motherwell love an ex player too. Said a couple of weeks ago re Higgy, he's pretty much had 2.5/3 meh seasons at this level plus a similar spell with motherwell. If you could guarantee you'd get the Higgy of Feb - may 2014 you'd take him in an instant but that's looking more like a blip than anything else.
  21. Stop riding the horse everywhere as well, much more fun to be had exploring that way plus the horse controls aren't great.
  22. I think they would have replaced at least 2 of the 3 ex thistle players they currently have if they had came up, and they've got a bit of cash behind them. Killie on the other hand are in a worse position financially, and I think they'll be similar next year on the park , so that combined with the better away day of the 2 means it's probably decent they stayed up.
