  1. Get calling the ends at Hampden the Celtic and Rangers ends right to f**k. Sycophantic craven stuff for cretins

  2. If for arguments sake the WoS senior league was formed and the Juniors all came along, it would look like the present West Super Premier- so Kilsyth would probably be right where they are just now? The way some folk argue against the pyramid, it's as if every club is going to be replacing Cowdenbeath in SPFL League 2...

  3. Naming the entire league structure in a cringing, second-rate way after the neighbours. When the new names don't even make sense.

  4. I shall be returning to work on the 30th of January. I feel that I am ready to return now because talking therapy, being good to myself, therapeutic writing and reading alot of good books and staying off social media has enabled me to "reconnect" with who I am and various unpleasant experiences from the past no longer haunt me like they used to. The veil of depression has been lifted. It will also be good to have my fulltime wage again because sick pay is less than a third of what I usually earn. After six months of sickpay I will feel like a millionaire.

  10. Done a poll on Our Facebook page to gauge the level of support for or against moving into the pyramid system . Most comments were pro leaving but only if we all left en masse . Here’s the result

  11. Spot on, as I keep saying for the vast majority of Junior clubs, joining the Pyramid would mean next to no change in the short to medium term.

  12. Some of the comments about the lass doing the interviews.. fucking hell! She's never claimed to be a reporter, she's the school liaison officer! She probably is just reading them off a piece of paper because she's been asked to do it. As others have said, the club let the lad leave who was excellent at it, and never replaced him.

  14. A cup match (I've no idea which) between Cowdenbeath and Dunfermline in 1920. Dunfermline played in hoops between 1919 and 1921. Referee cutting about in a suit jacket, shirt and tie with his shorts on. Proper.

  15. I'd have Gadz in the team ahead of O'Dea every day of the week. As far as I can remember he's never had an absolute stinker which has justified him being frozen out completely. Jules is injured/shit and as good as Darren his been for us the past few seasons he's a complete liability at the moment and he simply can't play. Waddell's looked decent in parts but he was seriously exposed against St Johnstone. He's a clear talent but isn't ready for us yet - at least to play consistently. Assuming Jack does in fact leave, Gadz and Meekings would be my centre backs.

  19. What an intelligent and thought provoking counter argument to my idea. I especially like the points you make about how you disagree with my opinion and then add your own ideas on what would be a better way to go. I’m sure your Post will add much to the subject being debated. Thanks for sharing I hope you’ll continue to further the discussion with your insight.

  20. As much as that result was absolutely stinking, being trolled by Tazz1903 all week about being knocked out the Scottish Cup by Peterhead, only for East Fife to be bodied out the tournament by Brora Rangers, has genuinely made me laugh out loud. Great stuff.

  21. Ah, yes. The classic “I’ve got to have seen the win for it to mean something”. Still, if you want to judge things on that level - there isn’t anyone, alive or dead, that has seen St Johnstone win the League Cup or the top league.

  28. Hardie did well last season. Slightly better than a goal every two games, a few of which were under Gary Locke, one when his team were playing without a goalie, etc. A good record. Remember when we had Longridge, Craigen, Connelly and Hardie? [emoji20]

  32. It's Bo'ness as in an abbreviated form of Borrowstounness with a small "n" not Bo'Ness for what it's worth. Not sure where this Linlithgow Rose thing is coming from. There were some rumours that they looked into it towards the end of last season, but it would have to go to a vote of their membership and I think we would have heard about it on here if that had happened. Bo'ness United have been more vocal about it publicly but are also not at the stage where a final decision has been made, as far as I am aware, but are putting everything in place to be able to get licensing at some point down the road. As things stand a superleague club in the west is having a postal vote of its members at the moment to decide whether to switch to the senior grade. Clydebank are known to have been exploring EoS league entry for next season along with Dalkeith Thistle and a third club yet to be named from East Lothian, who are probably Haddington Athletic.

  34. This is generally my viewpoint as well. Cards on the table here, I voted Yes in 2014. I'll probably vote Yes in the next referendum as well, not for any nationalistic or patriotic reasons, but simply because I think it'd be better than what we have right now. I'm not a party member and don't plan on ever joining one, and there are scenarios where I'd consider voting No, but with it looking like we're going to get a hard Brexit, I don't see it. In saying that, there are aspects to the Yes movement that make me cringe, not least the way that some seem to treat any form of criticism of the Yes movement and/or the SNP as a personal insult. They're a political party just like the others and should get praise and criticism when they deserve it. They aren't a football team, who you support no-matter what. There are many ways of promoting Yes and many who could be won over, but making an enemy of anyone who criticises it isn't a way to do it.
