  1. 1. 8milebu - by a billion miles. Genuinely think he's psychotic. Off the top of my head he has: • claimed to have thrown his own faeces at a friend. Has since gone back and forth multiple times on whether it happened or not, but either way, he genuinely thought telling that story was a good way of ingratiating himself with strangers. Oddball. • Sneakily taken photos of young children without their knowledge or parents permission. • Proudly assaulted a homeless person in front of his infant child. • Emailed another posters boss complaining about their conduct like a vile Lee Wallace. • Stalked another forum member's social media, posted photos on here from it, when called out on this, posted screenshots of a fake text conversation, then completely made up another human being (the bold Tony). • Been banned multiple times only to be let back on (may or may not have phoned Div's house) to rinse and repeat his cycle of "matey tedium-confident bullshit-mental bannable behaviour". A lot of the above has been incredibly entertaining, but it's the behaviour of, at best, one for the watching, and at worst, an actual dangerous lunatic. 2. Grim O'Grady - made this part of the forum unreadable for a long time. Was so boring that I couldn't finish his posts, even two liners. Descended in to lunacy towards the end and was rightly binned. 3. Waffenthinmint - posts on here when not stalking people, falling out about the sims or murdering hitchhikers and prostitutes in his shed. His posts are only a modicum less creepy than those other hobbies. Bible John. 4. Gunther - almost certainly sits in the corner masturbating whilst watching waffenthinmint skinning alive hitchhikers and prostitutes, and playing the sims. 5. Weeperdee - watched his dad get battered, went through a cod psychology phase and generally comes across as a whiny wee wet blanket.

  9. On the whole Callachan transfer deadline day situation my two pence is this: I think overall this could have been a very good piece of business. The crux of the issue seems to be Callachan out, Herron, the young winger from Hearts, plus 50k in. By all accounts Herron seems to be a good player at Championship level so should do very well down in League 1. The asterisk here is that he has been injury prone. If he stays relatively fit I think this is a good swap. I have seen a lot of people continually mention that they are astounded at how under-rated Callachan is. To me these comments seem to me to demonstrate how over-rated he is by some. His energy and physicality are undeniable assets. It seems to me that those who think he is under-rated place a large amount of value on these qualities over technical ability. Where as those who think he is over-rated place more value on technique and being a ball player. I also agree that he has had a very good start to the season and would certainly have been a good player for us this year (due to the above mentioned qualities). However, I think the best point was made by a Townie above who noted that it is no surprise he is looking good against part-time players who he is so superior to in terms of fitness and athleticism. I personally don’t think you can make a case that Ross is a very good ‘football’ player in terms of technique, awareness etc. That is not to say he is not a big asset at certain levels and in certain teams and formations. Overall I think these type of players whose key assets are physical just frustrate me (and others who share my sentiments) and swapping a Callachan-style player for a ball playing midfielder is something I am excited about. It also allows Mathews to play more who I think is a better player than Callachan in terms of intelligence and quality. And it has also meant our squad is one player bigger, which could be important. Especially as we don’t have any depth in the wide areas. And we have 50k which could potentially be used to cover injuries at the January window if needed which again might make the difference in winning the league. I hope he goes on to have a good career because he has been an excellent servant and seems like a really nice guy. However, I would not be surprised if he barely plays at Hearts and is released after his contract expires to find a championship club.

  11. P&B loves a countdown thread and P&B loves a thread full of interpersonal recriminations, so since the previous efforts by mattydfc (RIP) and Addie (RIP(?)) have failed I have a special treat for your September. Over the next few weeks we'll take votes on the worst posters to have graced this site in its illustrious 14 year history - and as much as I'd like to believe everyone will take it in good grace, we all know the reason these threads are so popular is for the inevitable meltdowns by people proving just why they're so (un)popular. My plan for the month is this: 1 - 15 September: PM me your nominations of your worst five P&B posters, ranked 1-5 with 1 being the worst. You can apply whatever criteria you like for what defines a poster as bad. 15 - 30 September: The results are revealed, including any comments you send me about your nominations. While I actively encourage everyone to tell me why you're voting for someone so I can include it when they're unveiled, all the criticism will be kept anonymous. So feel free to be as petty and judgemental as you like. Feel free to discuss your selections over the first half of the month. I'm sure people will mention posters you've forgotten. The other benefit of this is that it weeds out the aliases. While it can be hard to keep up with some of the tragic losers we've had with innumerable accounts, the more notorious culprits for this are well-known enough to avoid having multiple entries, but if anyone votes for multiple iterations of the same person I'll try to condense them if I can. If you have any other questions post away, but I think the gist of this is familiar enough to the regulars. Happy bitching. The reveal of the results begins on page 57. The page references here are based on 25 posts per page. The results are contained in the spoiler below: Thank you.

  15. I think it is an important game in as much as we need the new guys to settle in quickly and also need to build confidence levels before next week, so a good performance and win would be very welcome. Not aiming any disrespect at Brechin here but we may just be lucky to have today's match as a 'free week' followed by playing the perceived weakest team in the league to give us a chance to try to fix things! Edited to say that I'm sure Brechin will be thinking something similar!

  16. Is it not very obvious that the directors at this club at present are also Queens fans. This is not a club where there are mega bucks from being a director. Probably the exact opposite in fact. Supporters pay their money at the gate their financial responsibilities end there really. While it would be great that some responsible supporters form some form of representation that could discuss some issues with the directors 2 or 3 times a season. That would be the way forward and just might be acceptable to the board. I can not ever see a director who has invested monies being happy with or discussing financial or confidential information on the clubs affairs with some representative who has no such responsibilities.

It's no surprise that the right-wing press lie and whip up hysteria but this made up shite about the Muslim foster family really is grim. https://tompride.wordpress.com/2017/08/31/how-the-press-lied-about-the-little-girl-staying-with-muslim-foster-parents-here-are-the-facts/ A horrible insight into the prejudices of their readers.

  26. Glorious forecast meant a Friday off on Flexi and a long-awaited return to the Aonach Eagach. I did the ridge 4 years ago, but in largely pish weather and saw f**k all for most of it. My mate was worried about it so I was happy to take him along. The climb out of Glencoe to Am Bodach varies between pretty steep and fucking-hell-this-is-steep. My pal got to the downclimb off Am Bodach (which looks fucking awful from above) and decided to head back down. Probably not idea to be tackling to AE if you don't feel right about it. I carried on and arranged to meet at the other end. Most of it was pretty straightforward although there were a couple of pinnacles I genuinely couldn't remember from last time, however managed to scramble over them and had a brilliant day. I'd also forgotten how fucking shite the long and tedious descent from Sgor nam Fiannaidh by the "pap" path is. The only downside was going out on the piss without having time for any decent scran, and waking up with an absolutely atrocious hangover this morning

  29. Have to say that over the last few months I've seemed to antagonise some people on here. I've had a lot of shit going on and thinking about it have been maybe transferring it onto here. Part of what's being going on involves me being in the right all the time. People should respect other opinions and not be so one sided, I guess this applies to me and others. Its not always easy being a pars fan so let's not throw stones at each other. I'm also going to ban myself talking about *illiamson in future as he's having a good season so far. Also as promised I donated £10 if proven wrong. Glad to.

  30. Denis Law won the Ballon d'Or in 1962, only Scot ever. He was also capped for Europe in 1963 and 1964, only Scot ever to start. Succeeded in England and was an early traveller to Italy (capped for both leagues). He was definitely "world class" in the early-to-mid-1960s.

  37. So over the course of this window: - Brought in 17 players across both 1st/u20s squads. - Had 17 released/retired/returned to parent club. Including a player binned after ending up on the front page of The Sun taking a dunt of nitrous oxide with his bird. - Transferred 3, including a reported £400k for a player we got for nothing a year ago (more than Thistle reportedly got for Lindsay who had another 2 years on his deal and £100k less than Dundee apparently got for Stewart with equally a year left on his contract). - Dev loaned 5 players. - Extended McHugh and Kipré's contracts. - Brought in a shitload of cash, potentially £1m+ including a potential £750k from an initial investment of c.£30k on a player who's not even at the club. - Heneghan's reported fee is more than we saw from; Randolph, Hutchinson, Nicky Law, Murphy, Reynolds, Higdon, McCormack and Sutton (twice) combined. - Kept Moult and Cadden at the club (having rejected offers for both). - Brought the average age of the first team squad down to 24.1. We now only have 1 first team player over 30, last season we had 7. What a window lads, what a window. Fucking sensational work.
