  1. Never got to go home on Monday unfortunately as Sakura's neutrofils were too low but received good news from today's MRI scan that there's been no relapse.

  2. Lots of chat from my work mates about Muirhead's dive but I have in fact seen official footage from Pars TV (seeing as they now watch every game involving Falkirk for any hint of improper play) which confirms it was that blighter Murdoch, at it again ! That's an assault I tell you!

  6. You don't sound like a supercilious wee dick, much. While you maybe watching from the 'box seats' now, you don't seem to recall us being perilously close to being out of the game altogether , then scrambling about the third division (not to mention getting pumped by 5/6 goals off 'shan' outfits such as Ayr Utd) For one so interested in history, I'd have thought you'd be more wary of grave dancing. and for the record, I'm not on the verge of tears (or scrambling for fkn relevance)

  8. Cheers Slippery(!). That toilet faux pas (which I'm pretty sure someone clocked), along with the fact I've been up since 4am and only just got home - and that I only got a 3 in today's quiz, means there'll be no league tables today. If you want to know what the tables look like, there's three lists of teams ... each list follows a similar trend, with teams with the highest cumulative points for the week appearing above those with fewer points.

  20. You didn't storm your way to any title. You won it on the last day of the season with three part-time sides still in contention. The following campaign you then imploded in spectacular fashion...

  22. Can I ask why you've got yourself worked up over somebody's opinion? I said I'd like Easton to get the job and think he will. You then asked why I wouldn't want Young or Aitken..despite the fact I never said I didn't. I also never said Young was talking about Easton in his interview.. You are taking what you want to see out of my posts.. I said hearing Young talk about YOUTH being the main criteria that he's looking for in the next manager, I think Easton's the right man for the job. You clearly don't. It's all about opinions.

  24. 2-0 Dundee with seconds on the clock. We win a penalty. Paul McGowan takes it... ...cracks it off the crossbar... ...straight into Dougie Imrie's pus... ...from where it rebounds into the net. SCENES.

  31. Is your mates name Craig Couper by any chance? Before Christmas I'd agree that our football was rotten, after Christmas it's been anything but and that is clearly shown in our scorelines. Many high scoring games and we scored more goals away from home than anyone else in the league, if that's rotten football then I'll have more of it this season. Also, if anyone is capable of taking us forward from where Murray had us then tell them to get in touch. Totally unrealistic to expect someone to come in and do better than 5th in the Championship with a part time squad.

  33. The morons saying 'shoe in' on here Also there seem to be loads of folk 'in the know'. They're attention seeking arseholes who are massive liars or attention seeking arseholes who are untrustworthy wankers who betray the trust of someone on the Raith board by putting out things on a public forum they were told in confidence.

  36. Being full time in League one is tough. Firstly the financial implications of relegation mean that you have to be prepared to and able to take a big loss due to reduced gate revenues, severely reduced SPFL prize money and much harder to sell commercial activities. Then even though you are full time, you end up scraping around the bottom of the full time player pool because you can't afford to pay higher league wages and even if you do decent players want to play in higher leagues. One way for bigger clubs (i.e. traditionally full time clubs on loan to league one) to mitigate this is through good use of the loan market. Factor in though, that there will apparently three clubs looking for such players and it gets harder still! Finally, running a youth academy is not cheap, especially now that Project Brave is threatening funding received to develop youth for all clubs bar the top 4 or 5 in the land, so you need to get a return from youth in the shape of credible players coming through. League gate money after VAT is likely to be sub £300k and a youth academy is going use a minimum of around 40/50% of that on its own! Its not easy but likewise, the costs difference between a league one wages full time squad and going part time but looking for the best part time players is not huge. In other words, going part time is not necessarily going to balance the books for a club like Raith in League One.
