  2. It must be a living hell supporting Rangers/Sevco. Imagine going from supporting a team that won virtually every trophy going and lording it over everyone in Scottish football, to lazily watching your club die, then see its b*****d offspring join the bottom rung of league football only to spend 4 years being utterly laughed at by the diddies you used to lord it over. No wonder you were reduced to jizzing yourselves over setting fourth tier attendance records. To add insult to injury, Hearts almost go out of business before sorting themselves out just in time to hose you in the Championship before a previously piss poor Motherwell bitch-slap your team home and away in a play off. FINALLY a year later you make the Scottish Cup Final, your big chance to win a proper trophy and get it right up everyone else, and against a team almost no one thought would have the bottle for it, only to see David Gray shatter your dreams into tiny pieces, followed by hundreds of Hibs fans goading you in celebration, then slapping around your fellow morons who couldn't take it and retaliated. Still, at least you'll have the satisfaction of seeing Hibs fucked by a massive fine for it. You must be fucking fuming that Rod Petrie's pocket change will comfortably cover it [emoji23]

  3. Tend to agree with this. It was very short lived but there was definitely a rivalry with Mileson's Gretna, mostly of their creation. Prior to his arrival they were seen largely as Annan are now, as a smaller local side that most Queens fans were happy to see do well and maybe even went to watch if Queens werent playing. In contrast to Stranraer who were and are traditional rivals though like Grant said, not one I would wish genuine ill to. Gretna was different. There was genuine hatred of what they became. Their "business model" (dont laugh!) was basically to invade Dumfries and take our fans and future fans. As much as a shyster as Mileson was he wasnt stupid and knew that the only way to grow the Gretna brand was to impinge on our catchment. So he bankrolled a programme whereby Gretna provided free coaching for Dumfries schools, gave hundreds of free tickets to families in Dumfries, sponsored local youth teams and combined with the recruitment of premier standard players, winning every week and sugar coated media coverage all led to a significant attack on our club. I still havent truly forgiven one of my wife's friends who thought it was funny to ask why I didnt "go watch a good team like Gretna" when I came back from some fruitless trip up Scotland to see Queens lose while she and her family had watched the Gretna machine they couldnt have named a player at a year earlier dismantle some other group of innocents on their free schools tickets. Or clowns who threw their lot into following the glory at Gretna and were quick to tell you how much better than Queens they were in the pub. And thats a decade on. I revelled in their defeats and was almost delighted when the thing collapsed like the house of cards we had said it was all along while the media fawned like sycophants over Mileson and his lending his car to 'Dr Goals' and making donations to Supporters Trust at half the teams they met. And yet they were undeniably good for us in the long run. The immediate benefit of nabbing Tosh, McQuilken and Macfarlane and ending up in the cup final is obvious, as is the fact that their longest serving player is now our manager, but it was more in the background that long term response was crucial. The club and fans were galvanised. A genuine community programme was instigated that still runs today. We got involved in schools ourselves and rethought our own strategies to address the challenge. It was being met even before they imploded and we are a much bigger and stronger club now with far greater roots in our own community. Gretna are back to being a local club serving their community and one I am happy to see do well, particularly at the moment with four of our players on loan there and the likes of Stuart Rome, Danny Armstrong, Jack Dickinson and Dylan Neill all recently ex Queens too.

  4. I think the wee man had something to do with 9/11 even though he was aged -12 at the time, or has a past memory from a previous life about it. He built me this lego "airplane" which is suspicious enough on its own... ...but it contains a quite frightening message upon closer inspection. 9 appears two times, the 9 and the upsidedown 6, representing the twin towers The upsidedown 9 (aka 6) represents a fallen building 11 appears 5 times, the two dashes between the numbers and the two clock hands the three main destroyed WTC buildings are clearly represented by the 12&3 12-6=6, 9-3=6, two sixes, two six, 26, the same number of terrorists involved in the attack The time is 11:17.5 - the two WTC planes were American 11 and United 175 I'm close to turning him in.

  12. Any straw will do him, it's ok that we've got racists, misogynists, nutters, conmen, rapists, paedos ingrained in the top of the pile across the UK but the SNP must stop every ne'er-do-well from taking public office or they're hopeless.

  14. Yeah, totally agree with this. The problem is that BLM activists consider any black person shot to be 100% innocent, any BLM activist/rioter to be 100% innocent, they want the police departments either completely shut down or with such heavy degree's of oversight that no black person will be ever arrested again. America is in a really messed up situation at the moment, they are about to elect one of 2 awful candidates for president. The trust levels of their law enforcement are at a all time low, there are monthly violent riots and protests, monthly, sometimes weekly mass shootings. You have mass violence against people for no justifiable reason, pretty much at every BLM riot this year alone there has been at least 1 incident of violence against a innocent white person purely because of the colour of their skin. You have Universities with garbage useless degree's filling students heads with activist logic to the degree that free speech is pretty much dead, and infact students are demanding a end to the right of free speech. BLM and student activists demanding the reintroduction of segregation If i lived in the US at the moment(which if i had stayed with my ex would have likely happened by now) i'd be packing my bags and getting the f**k out.

  18. Being lectured by a Rangers season ticket holder as to who counted as 'a real Queen of the South supporter', after the reprehensible decision to vote in favour of the admission of Sevco to Division One of the SFL, was the final straw for me, after supporting the club for 40 years prior to that disgraceful episode. If Robertson was still on the board, wild horses would have been unable to drag me back.

  22. There used to be a feature on Hawksbee and Jacobs on Talksport called 'There Are More Questions Than Answers' where they would play the chorus from the Johnny Nash tune of the same name followed by the feature which was to read out an intriguing news story from that day's newspaper which was essentially a short, space filler but had the reader needing more information. This post would have been read out if it had been in that day's paper. Eta: I'd probably just have been quicker asking for more info tbh.

  30. It's a valid question. I've considered this a lot and discussed with a lot of people over the years. At some point Roy's involvement will end, but my belief/understanding is that we wouldn't face instant Armageddon like Gretna. Instead, we would probably regress to a more natural level for a club of our size - bottom six or top half of the Championship. There's no doubt Roy's investment in the club's infrastructure and likely subsidising of wages has been significant in our recent success, but he hasn't saddled the club with masses of debt in the process. If he goes, we'd just have to cut our cloth accordingly and continue at a slightly lower level. On the whole we're a very well run club and that efficiency and sensible levels of investment from outside the club have got us to where we are, unlike the irresponsible and unsustainable spending that saw Gretna's rise and fall.

  31. Roy has laid the foundations, so we're told, we'll be fine. In all honesty? I'm not completely sure, but he clearly understands the club has to be more than his plaything. He started with the pitch and is pretty much finished developing the rest of the facilities. The youth and scouting systems are being developed and the development side is starting to show the results. Can the northern Highlands ever support a Premier League team without some financial input from the likes of Roy? Time will tell, but I don't worry about a Gretna style collapse although a gradual decline is possible if he goes.

  34. He wasn't no, but he was always pulling out fights. Something like 12 fights booked and only showing up to 6. The point regard Conor being able to do what he wants is absolutely true but Aldo is just trying to use it as leverage when, as Banana points out, he got absolutely rekt by Conor. Whether people like it or not McGregor is a stupidly big draw for the UFC, far an above anyone else on the current active roster. Dana will bend rules and change previous ways to accommodate him cause he's where the dollah is at.

  36. Have you never actually heard McGarry speak? Embezzlement is only one of the issues here. Even without that, she's a bonkers roaster that's a total embarrassment . Look at her Twitter feed. Or well, you can't actually because she's such a minter it can't be available to the public. Vetting procedures should include a suitability interview. No one with quarter of a brain could have interviewed this mess and thought 'aye, she ll be great '. I know the bar isn't high with the likes of Pete Wishart, John Mason and Angus MacNeill, but she's a new standard of dross that should have been emptied before she ever stood. I think Mr Rational admitted as much earlier. If the SNP had known in advance they were going to win so many seats they'd have thought more about the roaster types they've ended up with.
