  1. For two years the country handled the Independence debate in a manner befitting their aspirations. Then, when it was all done and dusted, the Weegies revert to type show themselves up for the Stone Age cretins they are. When will you arseholes join the 21st century ?

  2. What's the inference here exactly? That because he doesn't like The Sun's objectification of women he's a homosexual? I thought that kind of chat died with the Sun's credibility after Hillsborough. Apparently not.

  3. Good to see a number of well balanced opinions on the Murray situation. I personally left last season behind and I'm more than happy to base Murray on this season in isolation. The reality is this season is going to be very tough and so far we have clocked up a very good tally of points all whilst taking on the two strongest teams in the league. Whilst this forum doesn't quite bring the roundabout of seethe and celebration as Facebook does we can't simply call for his head after every defeat. I reckon we back him and the team right over winter and see where we are. If we are here or there about then great if not then serious questions can be asked. However the weekly boo him/applaud him can't be doing the team any good.

  16. Did the 3 Peaks on Friday and Saturday. Had some interesting experiences with the night ascent of Scaffell Pike treating us to the clearest view of the Milky Way andstars that I could ever have imagined. Made an amateur error on Snowdon and got too cocky, ended up on the Crib Goch arrete. Worst couple of hours of my life but a good lesson learned. Snowdon in particular was a horror show for any purist who wants to enjoy the wilderness in their own time and space. It's a traffic jam up the main routes, even in mid September, and a constant face palm at some of the punters who manage to get themselves into a state.

  19. If Konrad's loss is a sair one you really are in trouble. Shipped two goals, poor with another. Twinkle, I have never met Dee Man and I know he doesn't wear specs. Ask your mate if his grandad trained Chuck Norris , I bet he says yes.

  20. I believe the politically correct term for midget is vertically challenged. All this chat reminds me of an incident, that happened a couple of years ago, in private eyes. Where a vertically challenged male ran between a strippers legs. No charges were brought but he did receive a clit round the ear and a flap in the face for his troubles.

  23. There has to come a point, surely, where we stop using the "two league wins since Christmas" stick to beat Grant Murray with. I'm not saying we disregard it completely, and I'm certainly not a fan of GM's managerial reign thus far, but it seems the bottom line of any argument is the run at the end of last season. The majority of fans, on seeing the opening fixtures, suggested 3 wins from the opening 5 league games was certainly achievable; Alloa, Dumbarton and Cowden being the teams we should fare well against, anything from Hearts and Rangers being considered a bonus but in no way expected. Performances have not been great, but the achievable results came to light. At that point, the argument was, wins against the part-time teams wouldn't shape our season any more than defeats against Hearts, Rangers and possibly Hibs would; it was how we fared against Livi, QOS and Falkirk that would be the measure of any progress being made. We've kicked that off with an away win and clean sheet at Livingston, we sit third (early days, I know) behind the "big two" and there's already a wee gap appearing between the play off positions and the rest of the league. (again, I know it's early days). From a results point of view, the season has been, as far as I'm concerned, acceptable enough. I doubt there are many who wouldn't have been happy had they been given third place with four wins after six games at the start of the season, yet I keep seeing last season's horrendous run referenced. At what point do we draw a line under it and start afresh? I'll point out that I am in no way a fan of Grant Murray's reign as Raith Rovers manager, and like most think he is very lucky to still be in a job after last season, but while the team are competing well in the league then I have no issue with him being in charge. We'll see what happens once the clocks go back..

  25. Murray still has a long way to go in winning back support. People still haven't forgotten that dreadful run at the end of last season, which is why he's never really more than a couple of bad results away from some demanding his head. Yes, we've started well, but this isn't the time for some sort of point scoring mission - remember that it wasn't long ago at all that the cries for him to be given his jotters were near unanimous. Not getting absolutely thrashed whenever we come up against a decent side would also help his case, right enough.
