  1. Actual lol. So your shame is the equivalent to your long years of cheating? It may have been on the instruction of a few, but your club and its fans benefited for two decades, depriving other clubs of legitimate chances of competing and forcing many others to spend money on 2nd rate foreigners in desperate attempts to play catch-up. Where was your shame when your fellow bears went on the rampage in Manchester? Where was your shame when your club was repeatedly fined for sectarian chants? Where was your shame when your club refused to sign a Catholic for 100 years? You have no shame, because if you did, you wouldn't support such a vile institution. You wouldn't support a club which proudly stands for exclusion, bigotry and racism. Your supporters groups bleat about bigoted singing as being the acts of a minority, but where has the criticism been from the majority? Conspicuously absent, because it is the case, as everyone else knows, that such singing is condoned by EVERYONE in the Ibrox ranks, no matter their age, gender or upbringing. And still, after all the fines, after all the cheating, the singing and the fraudulent schemes, you still fail to show a semblance of dignity, or of guilt. Not a single Rangers fan can provide a genuine reason as to why your stinking carcass of a club should be saved. You don't understand why your club is so despised by the supporters of others. You can't understand why someone would choose to support their local team over the famous Glasgow Rangers. You cheated your way to title after title, trophy after trophy, award after award. And you want us to think the club has suffered enough because of the "shame?" You are right on one thing though - I probably would feel pity for any other club in similar circumstances. But your club is a vile, racist and bigoted organisation, a stain on society and a cause of division and violence for many. You won't be missed.

  2. Sorry, but I've had to rise to our pet menstruating sow. Obvious but too simplistic is: It's only since this CoS decision that No. 8's true inner turmoil is laid bare as he appears to truly believes that the second scenario is happening, when the rest of us can see that the first is actually the case. To address a few of his points, it has taken multiple posters to show him pictures of the Pope wearing a big hat or a bear having a crap in a forest before he will stop spouting his pish. Not admitting to being wrong, note. Just moving on to lash out in another direction. A few nuggets for him to pick over.... 1. It is extremely rich for anyone following a club with over 100 years of discriminatory employment policy to accuse anyone else of this, especially as in this case no discrimination is evident towards the employees. 2. With every piece of evidence uncovered against rangers, claims are made that it was him, him or them, never rangers. As the SFA tribunal noted, knowledge of malpractice and inaction concerning same damns directors over decades with implicit guilt. 3. Any other club in rangers' situation would be scrabbling like hell to make friends, pull in favours, do anything to SURVIVE, at any level of the game. This mob expect all other clubs to weaken their own position to help them COMPETE FOR THE TITLE. Arrogance is never attractive. In this case it is completely repulsive. 4. Had rangers accepted the - basically irrelevant - registration ban, they would have been able to start rebuilding and look to the future. By refusing to accept the SFA's decision, they brought this affair to the attention of UEFA and FIFA. In so doing, they have put the whole of Scottish football at risk, with the attendant damage to communities and loss of jobs throughout the country. Their attitude is we don't care - we are rangers and we don't need the diddies". So..... who will they be playing against? 5. Perusal of the timeline of this thread will show a gradual deterioration in the sympathy and support rangers are receiving from their peers. The rest of football is losing patience with these arrogant criminals, and SPL chairmen are beginning to speak in terms of doing the right thing. (One glaring omission, BTW, MJ - might be time to jump on the bandwagon and join the new order). In summary, then, I would suggest to No. 8 that he bugger off to RM or FF, where he would no doubt find greenies (bluies?) for his hatstand statements. As a favour to the rest of us, could I suggest that cammy35, Kincardine, bearwithme, and bennett join him. Five of the rangers posters try their best to be "reasonable", or five examples of how important it is to cleanse Scottish football, and Scottish society, of this vile institution? No longer are sanctions enough. This cancer in our midst must be cut out and disposed of. Full remission, no newco" zombie club rising like a new tumour for the trogs to rally round. Scotland owes it to itself to take this opportunity and rid itself of these horrible people. Forever.

  7. We talk here about registering players, Rangers going to court, how good or useless the SFA is, but there are some basic truths to consider which in an ideal world would be the basis of any decision about Rangers. Rangers I am sorry to say are just evil, a stain on society. Their presence at a sporting event is the closest thing you can get to a BNP rally. Travel on public transport before or after their games and you are confronted by the foul behaviour. Who wants to sit on a train and listen to a mobile ring tone which is the sash including the F the Pope shout at the end? Charities created on the back of the Rangers stain, such as Nil by Mouth - a kid murdered for wearing a Celtic top Cities going into lockdown at the hoards arrive in blue, even for friendlies for God's sake. UEFA having to step in to penalise their repeated offensive and violent behaviour. How Rangers ran their business to their own set of rules is consistent with everything else they have done. No 8 in his usually reasonably polite way, still personifies the arrogance that sits alongside fascist behaviour so easily. And the most dangerous part is that the Rangers faithful still think they are behaving normally, and the blame always lies with someone else. If you don't think Rangers is a fascist organisation have a look at http://www.rense.com/general37/char.htm It talks about Governments, but many common themes. Closing them won't make all this go away, but sure as hell it is a good start. The rest of us are 'the people'. Not Rangers.

  8. But there won't be. Because this isn't a typical 'in-house' scandal whereby the SFA could apply tricky sanctions like the registration ban, without actually getting rid of the club. And then the SPL could hum and haw before accepting thirty pieces of silver to put a Newco back in, relatively unscathed. The SFA now has to act under the scrutiny of FIFA, and the SFA's punishments will trump any act of self-preservation the Cockwomble can dream up. I fail to see how FIFA would regard a Scottish Cup ban for a single year as being suitable punishment for a club who have taken their national association to a civil court, and have dragged the game into disrepute for their actions of the past decade. The SFA would have their balls collectively booted for it, and Regan knows this. The SFA will have to either suspend or expel Rangers from its membership. I'd say there's a much stronger chance of Charles Green showing he does do walking away in the near future, than Rangers getting out of this tightening noose. Taking the SFA to the CoS was the suicidal move, which makes the Rangers fans' collective hubris at their 'victory' in court absolutely fucking delicious.

  12. Apologies in advance if anyone has already pointed this out, but.... If Rangers aren't in the SPL next season, it won't be due to relegation. Dunfermline have been relegated. They competed in the competition, but weren't quite good enough to stay up. Someone has to finish last. This is an alien concept to Rangers. Rangers don't believe in the meritocracy of a league competition. This is the absolutely fundamental issue here. Rangers have seen themselves as apart from the normal scheme of things. They clearly didn't want to compete - take their chances with everyone else, and accept the final analysis. Rangers' approach has been to manufacture their status, and it isn't simply cheating, it is about a refusal to accept that competing is about winners and losers, not just winners and all the other pieces of shite that they leave in their wake. This is the very antithesis of what I believe football (and sport in general) to be all about. Rangers supporters talk about justice and unduly harsh sanctions, blah, blah, blah.... This means nothing when you don't play the game. You can't expect justice when you haven't bought into the terms and conditions. If you choose to opt out, you're beyond the scope of that justice. They are fortunate that sanctions are even being considered, because this assumes that they still have any part to play. When this whole debacle kicked off, I had a wee chuckle to myself, but wasn't unduly concerned as to how it might pan out. As time has passed, and revelation after revelation has been thrown into the mix, I've grown mightily sick of the fact that they have caused me to question my interest in, and commitment to Scottish footballl, and, indeed, my own club. Nah. Rangers have been playing with a loaded dice for years. If they drop down, they won't have been relegated. They will have been correctly thrown off the table. If you don't play by the rules, don't expect anyone else to invite you back at any level. Tainted indeed.

  13. So the man who doesn't own Rangers wants to talk to the man who won't be on an independent committee determining their sanction.... to ask what exactly? "Go easy on us... I mean them" "It's not up to me, it's up to an independent panel" "Who are they?" "I can't tell you that, it's a secret" "We demand to know in the name of transparency" "But the rules that you, I mean they, agreed to say they should be anonymous" "Can you not ignore the rules, we're a special case" "That's what we did before, and you took us to court" "But WATP"

  17. I've thought up a fun new game. Six degrees of separation (from the pernicious influence of the Holy Roman Catholic Church). Think of your favourite blue-nose, then try and link them in as few steps as possible to the Celtic cause, then forward to RangersMedia / Leggoland / D+P for scrutiny. I'll start with Ally McCoist... Ally McCoist was a panellist on the popular BBC quiz-show, "A Question of Sport". Sue Barker is the presenter of the show Sue Barker used to be in a relationship with Cliff Richard Cliff Richard's property manager is John McElynn, a former Catholic Priest. Ergo, Ally McCoist is dirty papist / tarrier / Catholic apologist.

For anyone else wanting the instant cure from a waste of bandwidth, click the 'signed in as....' bit at the top of the page, select 'manage ignored users' and type 'no8.' in the box (including the full stop, the illiterate fool...) then save. After - one less moron spoiling the thread. Someone with such a negative rating should automatically be defaulted to 'ignore' anyway.

  19. Ok, now we're getting somewhere. I'm sure it wont be too hard to knock up a prediction based on the last 3 years Scottish Cup performances of RFC working out half the ticket money and adding in any prize monies. You really think that's going to run into millions? Any Jambos on here know how much Hearts made from this years Cup win as an example? A cup ban is only for one game a month from Jan to May - for some SPL sides its as little as four games assuming you make it to the final. Most teams, even the wee teams, play every single week and don't include an established cup run in their long term budgets - others foolishly do. So what effect Rangers would get from a cup ban especially if they were allowed to remain in the SPL and strengthen their squad for other domestic competitions? In respect of the approximate £13m in unpaid PAYE & NI , as punishment you are suggesting that Rangers potential financial losses attributable to a 3 year cup ban are appropriate. Pro rata I'd expect those losses to be similar to the pence in the pound CVA offer tabled by the latest chancers consortium. The unquantifiable end result of which offers comfort to no-one. The argument on 'wee teams like Arbroath', although having some validity, is still based on the general assumption that Scottish football needs Rangers to survive. If not Rangers, then perhaps Arbroath would get United/Dundee/Aberdeen/St.Johnstone who would arguably take as many - if not more - away fans to Arbroath. The suggestion that this would bankroll a wee team for years must have been based on the critical assumption that a wee team would financially benefit from a cup tie at Ibrox, which is only a 50/50 shot in round 3 onwards after the wee team pulls a 1/15 shot out the bag first. So, in summary - a fine of £160,000 (that you can't afford to pay) plus missing out on 1 - 4 games per year over 3 years that produce an unquantifiable amount of lost revenue is what you would deem appropriate for writing off the breaches of rules and £13million in unpaid taxes and insurance while being allowed to strengthen your squad (if possible) for all other domestic competitions. Is that right? Just so I get it clear, because that confuses me, I don't see much of punishment there at all. Feel free to correct me though, thats what the forum is all about......

  20. Ticketus thought they had a valid sale of tickets -- a future flow asset securitization. The advantage of this approach is you are insulated from a bankruptcy of the seller as you are deemed to own the ticket revenue stream and are thus not a creditor at all. That means credit checks work slightly differently. The risk for Ticketus was that ticket sales would collapse entirely or a NewCo structure would allow a challenge to the deal. Based on the snippets in the COS decision involving Ticketus they may have had the second angle covered (the language seemed to be tickets to Ibrox, not tickets to Rangers in its current form). These deals are perfectly above board and work (the problem in the US RMBS market wasn't the structure, it was the assets were crap beyond everyone's expectation). They are much, much trickier when future assets are involved however. The problem for Ticketus is they unforgivably failed to take into account that however characterized tickets to Ibrox are SCOTTISH assets and even though the trust structure they used was governed by English law and (apparently) valid there under Scottish law works differently for future flow assets - or rather, it doesn't work at all. They ae left with a contractual right subject to cancellation and an ordinary claim as creditor. They are screwed, although they may pop up to wreak havoc later with a variety of legal claims. They clearly have determined that nothing is to be gained by engaging in the public kabuki show. Nobody vaguely rational would put themselves in the position they are in as part of some master plan. Someone who knows more than me explained most of this to you last night and even provided a COS link. Was that TLDR for you? D&P have taken a lot of stick here, some of which seems as a non-accountant on the outside justified, but I really, really don't believe they are part of a "stich-up". They are an international brand, and reputation matters a lot to them. The idea that the firm as a whole, as opposed to one partner, had a relationship with a non-entity like Whyte is risable. The idea they would somehow go through with a plan detrimental to creditors based on an opportunity to run up the bill a wee bit and fond feelings for whichever evil genius people think is behind the master plan is not credible. The reputational hit they' had taken even before Daly started hammering them far, far outweighs any gain. They clearly deployed a high risk stratagey in the expectation decent money bidders would show up. They probably failed to understand how different from an ordinary administration a football club is and overcompensated on the side of football at crucial points early on. But I don't think their senior partners are happy with the situation at all. The above in no way meant to defend Ticketus or D&P (especially after the crude burying of the post-admin HMRC liabilities in the CVA) but this is a cock-up, not a conspiracy. At most, any conspiracy is limited to some combination of bidders and Whyte.

  21. Yes, the BBC are wrong. Is this some sort of startling revelation to you? That the BBC are in fact fallible? You seem very excited by it. Far more so than the fact that D&P have run up a bill 7 times what they claimed they would on 11th February 2012

  37. Bad news Charlie, the punishment wasn't too harsh, it was too lenient and there's only one way it can go from there, Rangers appealed, won their case to have a punishment outlined in the rule book handed down, the only realistic punishment left is suspension or expulsion. That's the way you wanted it, that's the way you'll get it you sad twat. I don't think it is advisable for Regan to meet with Green, surely things have gone too far for such "cozy" meetings, impartial and independent individuals such as judges should be dealing with all aspects of this matter, if Green has something to say it should be done in front of the panel deciding what punishment should be given out, not directly and sneakily trying to influence others to see his way of thinking, especially when he is using the old "Scottish football will die without Rangers" chestnut. I've news for you Charlie, it's maybe gotten to the stage that Scottish football will die WITH Rangers. I find Greens attitude nauseating, he's only in it too make money and for him to come across as the great caring saviour is just a total farce, him D&P and Whyte are all in this together.
