  1. First sign of work on the East Stand for quite some time today, concrete blocks being installed to make flights of stairs in the stand. More steelwork has been delivered to the South East corner and a crane was in place to assist with lifting it. More of the brick wall at that corner has been knocked down to allow for construction of the turnstile area. I make it that it's now two years now since work started on Lesser and still not a single seat installed.
  2. Not much progress at Lesser over the last couple of weeks, a couple of pics from the back of what will be the director's gilded palace and from the South East corner of the ground:
  3. I stopped posting because progress slowed to such a slow pace there were no visible changes to the ground (other than the pitch) for most of May. Went by last night and over the last week or so the foundations for the structures at either end of the east stand look to be almost finished, there's been some panelling added to the facade of the changing room structure and also a few bits and pieces of work on the foundations for the director's gilded palace. A couple pictures from the phone so not great quality:
  4. Apologies for continuing the crowd w**k theme, but anyone know what the attendance was yesterday?
  5. Quite a few visible changes over the last week at Lesser, the layer of sand has been laid over the whole pitch bar the South East corner and the scaffolding around the new changing rooms has come down as well. Lots of foundation excavation work as well at both the hospitality area and the south east corner of the ground for the turnstile area.
  6. Not much change at Lesser over the last week except for piles of sand being laid as one of the layers of the pitch.
  7. Thank you. I have David Anderson winning PotY in 2010/11 & 2011/12, he missed a couple of months at the start of 2013/14 (after Berwick kicked him off the park in the second league game) so may not have won that season.
  8. I am trying to compile a list of all the winners of the various Player of the Year awards since time began, I am missing a few details and was wondering if anyone had any recollection of the following awards: QPSA Player of the Year: 1990/91, 1991/92, 1992/93, 1998/99, 1999/00, 2013/14 and 2014/15. QPSA Away Player of the Year: 1989/90, 1990/91, 1991/92, 1998/99, 1999/00, 2000/01, 2001/02, 2013/14 and 2014/15. Young Spiders' Player of the Year: 2014/15. Goal of the Season: 2013/14 and 2014/15 (Possibly Blair Spittal for 13/14 and Darren Miller at Gretna for 2014/15?) I have been through old programmes, newspaper clippings, web archive websites but can't find anything to confirm who got the awards in those years. Any assistance appreciated.
  9. Latest pics from Lesser this afternoon, all pipes have been laid for the pitch and what looks like the final layer of the pitch base has been laid. Hard to see in the picture, but pipes sticking up at regular intervals across pitch, presumably for sprinklers. The alcove in the terracing on the West side of the ground is now filled by a water storage tank, and there has been the first visible sign of work on the East Stand for quite a few weeks, with casts being set up for pouring concrete to form the perimeter walls.
  10. These are shoring up the wall on that side of the ground, the piles run most of the way behind the framework for the stand. There's a lot of foundation work in front of them as well. A few pics from this afternoon showing the piling and foundation works. Also one showing the West side of the ground and an alcove in the terracing that's there - not sure what that's for? Also noticed that the Pentecostal Church which used the halls behind have moved to the church at the corner of Battlefield Road/Kings Park Road - perhaps the halls might be available if we wanted to expand our hospitality capacity?
  11. Didn't bother last weekend as there wasn't much visible sign of change, went by the other night and they looked to have laid another layer of the pitch and some sort of membrane. They were also digging trenches to lay pipes the length of the pitch about seven/eight yards apart - not sure what these are for, they were mentioned at the members' meeting the other week but it was a bit vague what they were for. The trench around the pitch has also been filled in as well more foundation work around the South East corner of the ground. Picture isn't great as it's with the phone.
  12. Pedant's time - it's almost the exact opposite, the only time we've gone down after one season was 1999/00, four others were two seasons before going back down (55/56, 80/81, 06/07 and 15/16), and after 22/23 it was 38/39 before we went down.
  13. Not too many obvious changes to Lesser this week, the gravel base layer has been completed for the whole pitch and a trench has been dug around it.
  14. Yes - although he was just in as a trialist and never signed. He was always "injured" and he lived up to his reputation! Edited to add - no idea where the 15 appearances comes from - as Mick1867 says he never played for us.
  15. A few pictures from Lesser today, all the remnants of the base layer for the old plastic pitch are gone and the first layer of the base for the new pitch is being laid. The fencing at the North East corner of the ground has been removed to allow vehicles to use that end of the ground for access. Main other work this week appears to be piling work to support the brick wall beside the stand at the North East corner and lots of foundation works at the South East corner of the stadium.
