  1. According to the press these are limited edition and will only be worn a couple of times. Opportunity for the club to make a few quid by auctioning them off.
  2. Any predictions of when the Rangers penalty will be awarded?
  3. New season = high expectations but how long will they last? Do we have a big enough squad to deal with injuries and suspensions? Can we achieve a top 4 finish this year or will we be fighting at the bottom? As usual many questions and hopes before a new season starts - lets hope it is an enjoyable one for club, players and supporters.
  4. Absolute shower the first half - we could barely string a pass together. Good to see Naismith change it at half time, don't think Swift would have done that, and it worked. Never been a great lover of Forbes but he played really well for the first 20 minutes he was on. Goalkeeper is still a worry and as others have said what is wrong with Orr. Rovers may feel hard done by.
  5. Whoever the new manager is he needs to bring in a decent goalkeeper and a decent centre midfielder. We have the fire power upfront to be a threat but need some pace in central midfield and the defence needs tightening up. There should be 3 or 4 shown the door in January as well. It has taken the board a fair bit of time to act but at least they have acted. A defeat on Saturday with Swift in charge would have been carnage.
  6. I have previously stated I was thinking of not attending while Swift is in charge and I am still in that state of mind. I want to show my support to the team but think my attendance gives validation to Swift's position. I am currently thinking that either a show of non attendance by the fans or a protest whereby they stay outside the ground for the first 15 minutes may force the Board's hand. At the moment you cannot see where a win is going to come from but the board seem happy with this and content to listen to Swift's regular after match babble. It is now getting monotonous with the same garbage being uttered. The sound of silence from within the club is deafening.
  7. Can we afford to drop to the Lowland League? Surely the directors must have discussed this? He should have been dismissed on Saturday when the bus came back down the road. Let us hope they call him in after training tonight if not as stated Saturday could be very interesting.
  8. Surely to goodness he will be moved on this week. The experiment has failed and the board need to realise this and act accordingly. If he is still in charge for the next game then we will realise that the board have little ambition. Perhaps the board need to have a meeting with the fans and clearly outline where they see us and what are their realistic plans for the future.
  9. Will depend on how we contain Hester. Really not to bothered at the moment as I have said I will not be back until Swift is gone. if it means a couple of defeats to realise this then so be it. The important thing is the board can not prolong this for too long. There is an outside chance that a new face will turn us round but the longer we wait the slimmer the chance of this happening. Knowing our luck the board will offer Swift a new contract.
  10. Score initially came up as 1-0 to them on BBC. Still with the firepower we have on the pitch we need an own goal.
  11. Some of the crap that was uttered when he was appointed. Stenhousemuir FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Stephen Swift as the club’s new first team manager. He will join the club straight away and will link up with the squad within the next couple of days once all COVID testing protocols have been completed. Stephen is highly regarded having played for a number of Scottish clubs before taking the reins at Scottish Lowland Football League side BSC Glasgow. Most recently, he managed the 2020 side that won its way through to the Fifth Round of the Scottish Cup. Stenhousemuir FC Chairman Iain McMenemy said, “Stephen has built himself a very positive reputation as a modern, progressive manager that can lead and inspire a team to success. He has a strong focus on strategy and tactics, and we believe this will really enhance our ambitions as a club. “We have spent the last couple of years building a modern, resourced football department at Stenhousemuir that is able to support the management team in terms of recruitment and play. We see Stephen’s appointment as a crucial part of our efforts to take the club forward. “I would like to thank BSC Glasgow, and George Fraser in particular, for their professionalism as we have worked through the recruitment process. Stephen Swift said, “It’s with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to the staff, volunteers and players at BSC Glasgow. The club has been a huge part of my life for the last 4 years and I’m grateful to have had the privilege to work with them. “It’s time to look at the next opportunity, and I’m really excited to come on board at Stenhousemuir FC. I believe this club has the potential to be one of the best part-time professional teams in the country. It’s a great opportunity for both myself and my coaching staff and we can’t wait to get started.”
  12. Well we managed to get a draw at home to the worst team in the league thanks to a penalty and were lucky not to lose it at the death. That's it for me. I will not be back until that charlatan is gone. If the board cannot see the damage he is doing to the club then they should resign as well. That today was truly abysmal we were utterly clueless against a really shite team. There should be no aftermatch interview because he should be sacked by then but if there is he will no doubt be disappointed and the lads will be gutted as per norm. Some people were saying he should be given the cup game next week, seriously do you want us humiliated up there? Will find better things to do now on a Saturday until he is replaced.
  13. His time is up now, a win for him on Saturday is just papering over the cracks. The board need to act now. Thinking he will drop Forbes will not happen. He seems to be Teflon.
  14. Followed the team through thick and thin for over 50+years. Had really high hopes that this season was going to be the one. Will I ever see the team finish as champions? Now seriously thinking about not going back until Swift is gone, but that is dangerous as once you find something else to occupy your time then football no longer becomes the attraction or habit it once was. Swift talks a good game but his failings are plain for all to see and his time must surely be up. Let’s just see how ambitious the board are.
