  1. That coal pension scheme really is the pits!
  2. By having the biggest budget in the league?
  3. I’m not really a fan on split which result in an uneven amount of home and away games, like our current Premiership split, but yeah that is do-able. The problem would be if the Championship goes 16 teams, what happens to the 14 left below?
  4. I’m sure 14-14-14 was mooted at some point. I think 14 - split at 26 games then 12 post split fixtures - is the maximum size with split you could sell to the Old Firm who’ll want to keep their 4xfixtures but only marginally breaks the monotony. A 16 team league is a non-starter as you’re only playing 30 games a season. 18 also, each club loses a home game on what we have now. Expanding to 20, merging the Championship and League One, could work, but is there any appetite for it? You’d have to explained out promotion or play offs spots and relegation spots to keep in interesting. What do you do with League Two?
  5. Add in the very strange comments about the facilities at the Oriam which I believe are pretty highly regarded when Scotland decided they’d stop training there to go to the wee Lego kit stadium next to Hampden. Very odd, would love it if QP went down.
  6. Hopefully County can get out of 11th. I don’t fancy facing them and would much we play St. Johnstone in a potential play off, I would take some pleasure in us relegating them to boot.
  7. Hopefully Hamilton drop points and they win the league before they even get to the game.
  8. A draw is a great result I think. Puts us in control of our destiny. That said, I’ll take a Rovers win.
  9. Tbh it’s a bit of a Godwin’s Law thing. If an opposition fan starts chucking in the “Rape Rovers” “patter” or mentions Goodwillie it’s a sure fire acknowledgement they’ve lost the argument.
  10. It goes right to the heart about football being for and about the fans. Some people in the Dundee United ivory tower, sorry boardroom, seem to have forgotten that.
  11. A shame the euros have come a bit soon for him to really be in contention but if his trajectory continues Bowie should be in the mix for the full squad in the not too distant future. Hopefully he gets a crack at the Championship next season. Helpful he plays in a bit of a problem position for Scotland too. He’s Rovers through and through, as well.
  12. Taking 5 years to win that gubbins league with the budget you have should not merit a pitch invasion.
  13. Not sure why the onus should be on us either. If I was a United fan I’d be wanting to know exactly why the club are turning down £10K of income.
