  1. Refs from Scotland are shocking from the top the bottom. Both teams disappointed the games off, seems arniston game could have been on too!
  2. He gave many a 16 year old a game at Kelso, his laddie included who wasn't very good. Ben Herdman probably one of the better ones along with Jack Logan. Borders clubs aren't blessed with good players and Duns still have the best facilities yet play amateur football.
  3. Ex Kelso manager. Previously had a spell at Coldstream along with loads of amateur sides in the borders. Greenlaw. Gone are the days of appointing forward thinking coaches like Jonny Fairbairn. Who was on an absolute wedge at the club. Coldstream only interested in their coffee mornings and nights oot in the pivvy.
  4. No Coldstream announcement on their new management team? I think it's Prof Blaikie however.
  5. Manager asked to resign he duly obliges 6 points off the promotion places. Sold their best player... And 5 players leave with him too. Seems like their committee are more committed to other things than the product on the park. Hearing murmurs another coach has also just left who was key to their licensing.
  6. The current 3G pitch not in the enclosure is well over the year 10 years advised replacement... Infact i'd go as far as saying it's a no G pitch now! Edinburgh Leisure just don't care.
  7. Coldstream tipped for relegation, two good pre-season results already. Against team's in league above and lowland league...
  8. Dunbar will have a good side this season, obviously invested alot pre-season. Boy Hopkinson is a good player, if they can keep him out of house parties!
  9. They did indeed, the wind up there can be quite something at times. Match started against Tynecastle one day. Goal kicks ball coming back towards the goal was interesting to watch.
  10. Not sure why Hearts have not just re-entered the EOS league again. They are founding(i'm sure) members, and still pay league fees as far as I was aware. Could easily meet criteria. Lowland league, have sold their soul to the B teams and it should never have happened in the first place.
  11. In regards to Edinburgh South, I believe the pitch that was previously Tynecastle & Tollcross Thistle would be their only suitable option. I think they'd maybe get the same permissions as Coldstream/Peebles and throw a perimeter fence around the public park and somehow get funding for floodlights. You could argue with Sport-Scotland funding the play-park area to the left of the changing rooms could also be made into a 5 a side football park and a new park placed there to accommodate what would be taken away. In essence that does sound like a good idea and probably one that they would have looked at before?
  12. They where very good on Tuesday night aswell, although do believe they grabbed a couple boys from their 'junior' side for the game? I could be wrong. 7-0 win, with 5 of those probably avoidable due to some woeful goalkeeping.
  13. Some of the 19s have asked the question in regards to going amateurs, already not sure what route they plan on taking.
  14. What area is this in? Most of if not all the teams i'm involved with pay £35 per month, this covers 2 1hr30min sessions a week and a game on Saturday. We pay the 'first-team' £400 pcm but due to other teams not being able to pay 'apparently' all fees to be paid into a club account rather than team account. Personally I think this is so the first team can get their hands on it. Monthly fees for the club to play games and train are about £7500pcm you'd think they'd get a loan from somewhere and build a complex of their own?
