  1. To be fair to VAR, it does look like Miovski is off by a nose. It initially looks onside as you look at the Motherwell players arm being further forward but that doesn’t count as it’s only body parts you can legally score with that are relevant- basically, arms below the shirt line can’t be considered and the lines are drawn properly from his hip. So, his nose does look offside to me!
  2. Happy with a point and no more injuries. St Mirren are a good team.
  3. You should have stopped after the first two paragraphs. The rest is contradictory to a good initial point. Let it go. Anyway, on to 2023. Can’t believe Halliday is out with concussion now. That’s 3 players now out with concussion today (really hoped Kingsley would be back today), not to mention the 3 ACL injuries and a double leg break. Genuinely, I can’t remember any club having so many first pick players out at once due to injuries. Definitely will be happy with a point and no more injuries. We need to attack as that’s where we are still strong. Hopefully a good game.
  4. I’ve been very impressed with St Mirren this season - should finish in top 6 for sure. Two tough matches for Hearts particularly given we are definitely missing Gordon, Halkett, Beningame and Boyce and possibly Kingsley, Smith and Halliday. Lots of guaranteed starters there. I would be delighted with 4 points just to keep things ticking over until the injuries ease or/and we get some reinforcements in. I wouldn’t be overly surprised if we lose in Paisley.
  5. If you think that 12.1 is in play then both Gordon and Fletcher should have been sent off then as both used excessive force? Then a free kick to Hearts as our player actually played the ball? It’s not Gordon’s responsibility to pull out the challenge anymore than it’s Fletchers. Both went for it 100% and only had eyes on the ball. It was simply, in my opinion, a really unfortunate accident. No intent or excessive force by either player. How the ref initially rushed to give that as a penalty is actually a disgrace. He should have immediately been checking on the welfare of the two players involved, not rushing to the penalty spot. Absolute clown - anyone could see that was potentially career ending. Checking the players were okay as an absolute first priority, then no cards for either player and free kick to Hearts was the only right sequence of events. The refs performance was laughably bad throughout. What a horrible injury to happen at anytime, let alone the day before Christmas to a guy with young kids. Hope Craig gets home to see his kids on Christmas morning and he makes a quick and full recovery.
  6. Hearts sold 22,000, Hibs sold 15,000. What on earth are you trying to gloat about?
  7. Mixed emotions - I was really worried about the defence with Souttar and Halkett missing and we know derbys are a lottery, whatever the form, so would have probably been happy with a draw beforehand. Particularly with a 12 point lead over Hibs in the bank. However, Hearts were slightly the better team (of two very poor footballing teams on the day) and Craig Gordon had nothing to do whereas the Hibs keeper was man of the match. Obviously, two stonewall penalties as well. A win was achievable so slightly frustrated. I thought the standard of play was really poor from both teams. Nobody in either team showed any composure and it was just punt and run all over the place. I think Hibs showed lots of impressive fight and aggression and I understand why they are taking positives from that perspective. Good intensity from both teams which made it a decent watch despite very few phases of good passing. Typical derby. An away draw to another top 6 team is never a disaster.
  8. Agreed about Partick Thistle doing things right - banning all SPFL and SFA officials from the ground for their trophy presentation is the right thing to do. Hearts were far too decent about it!
  9. I heard he was a Rangers fan but also heard that Hibs are interested in him. He’s a good player. Maybe if Raith go up via the playoffs he’ll stick with you guys.
  10. Well done to all at Arbroath. Really good achievement and very much deserved. Dick Campbell has really done a fantastic job there.
  11. Raith are a good team - you guys just had a bad night. It happens to us all. Good luck in the playoffs!
  12. Very professional by Hearts. Really good to see the team being respectful to the league by not downing tools early. May the best team get through the playoffs and hopefully send another Premiership club down.
  13. That is exactly what I was thinking, virtually word-for-word. Fine work my friend!
  14. Hearts were really good today. I imagine we won’t be as good next week or as fired up as it’s not trophy day, like today was. We are hard to score against now especially with Souttar back and Halkett actually playing well. I think that’s 4 clean sheets in a row. Boyce, Gnando and MacKay-Steven also looked a handful today and linked really well. Should be a good open game as Raith need to go for the win - Hearts are so inconsistent that it’s impossible to know what to expect. I also wouldn’t be surprised if we played a couple of kids next week - we put a 16 year old on today albeit not for long. No idea what team Neilson will select or what version of Hearts will turn up.
