  1. You’re not playing EK next midweek Landan
  2. I thought so too, Vale were organised, strong, defended well and looked capable going forward, much improved. I understand Craig Howie will be fit for selection on Wednesday and that Kerr will have his full 19-man squad available for selection, some squad now. East Kilbride looking very good and a very healthy crowd again.
  3. Is it just me, or did anyone else read that whole interview in a ‘Vicky Pollard’ voice ? [emoji23]
  4. Never saw the game last night, but reliably informed it was always going to be one goal that settled it in a tight match. Looks incredibly well poised for a hugely exciting run-in to League between now and mid-April, hopefully I will get to see some games, although most away from home from EK perspective.
  5. Just seen that EK have signed Tony Wallace (ex-BSC Glasgow) anyone know much about him as a player?
  6. After checking with some of those in the know who frequent K-Park and travel to away games more regularly than I, the suggestion that EK received any money is ridiculous, but any excuse to have a pop a East Kilbride or wish some negativity on the club :-) Interesting that neither club would comment, which would indicate that this is much ado about nothing, as none of them felt strongly enough to be arsed commenting. Also, "apparently" the player in question is still a free agent and has not yet registered for a new club, so with that in mind the article can be filed under "factually incorrect." and may indicate the player is hedging his bets? I actually have sympathy for journalists now, especially local guys, as the rise of social media makes it much more difficult for them to be first with stories, and it must be difficult to separate the truth from wind-ups and gossip, probably like in this case. Which results in more of them willing to take a punt on a story they can't substantiate or get quotes on. My god, look at the mess the guy from the mighty Peebles News got himself in earlier in the week, when his Stark resignation claim quickly disappeared from cyberspace, as apparently it turned out he had just heard a rumour! Roll on Saturday when the football commences again, and the Twitterati can get back in full swing.
  7. The fact that EK have only lost one goal in League should be ominous to other sides. It's already a 3-horse race between EK, Spartans & BSC, and East Kilbride have been over the course before with the group of players, but it looks like that new Manager will start to freshen things up his way. All about opinions (or agenda's) but the word close to EK is that the players are very happy with the new Manager and methods. Always strange to see people appearing / posting, and desperate for a crisis! Looks like a very competitive League season in store....
  8. Nobody has been banned from anywhere, and no, the poster you refer to is not a reporter, but connected to another LL club.
  9. Absolutely. personally, I have been to two matches, and think the League will be very strong this year. BSC looked terrific at times and Colts will take plenty of points,
  10. I think it would be fairer to say that the club are pretty unfazed and aren't really too bothered. EK won't even touch this again, lawyer will deal with it all, and what will be will be.
  11. Most sensible post in a while, Born to Run. I have connections close to the club, but do not confess to be an authority on all things EK, but here are a few facts in this saga: 1. The club are more than comfortable for the claim to be heard, and are maintaining a dignified silence. There is now little else to say on the matter, and what will be will be. 2. The local paper EK News have printed a story about the dispute, so for anyone to claim otherwise is mental. 3. Martin Lauchlan's achievements on the field are still highly regarded at the club, and most EK folk still consider him a decent guy, perhaps bit misguided in his quest for headlines. 4. All but two of the squad from last season rejoined, even after the change of manager, which does not paint a picture of unhappy players or disputes. 5. The fact that BPEK is drawn to East Kilbride threads like a moth to a flame is a source of great amusement to the club, who are well aware is his identity.
  12. It's been in the local paper, but given the amount of coverage any ongoing legal dispute will have, minimal coverage due to neither party being in a position to comment. But that doesn't seem to satisfy the sycophants and bedwetters determined to make a big deal of this. If the previous manager is deemed by legal process to be due any dough, it will be paid. If not, he won't be, end of story. Reliably informed that nobody at EK is losing any sleep over this, and it has no bearing on how Billy Stark works week to week.
  13. Some response from EK to have the majority of the squad signed up again for next season, on the same day the Manager leaves, looks like 13 of 2016/17 squad have been retained, with only 2-3 still to decide their future.
  14. East Kilbride have been a breath of fresh air to this League, have fulfilled every game (I assume with lots of travelling) and have been a very good footballing side. If word is correct about BSC having a 20's in the League next season, I am sure they will do the same and add value to the League.
