First penalty shootout I've been to in years. Horrible and just glad to get through it, no idea where those penalties have been all season as we miss as many we score normally. If we'd failed it would have been a huge blow and given our rivals more reason to hope that we have a late collapse in us these last 5 league games. Don't think anyone in particular shined for us. Kuhn is our most dangerous winger by miles but we'd be lucky to get a decent 90 minutes out the rest. Yang needs a break and a loan move. Palma scunners me. Midfields our strongest area but McGregor's not fit, Reo was hot and cold and O'Riley poor bar his goal. Strikers didn't shine. We should have killed the game off at 2-1 and then at 3-2, we were in control but just didn't force the issue. Still, that we need to score 4 goals to win a game is a joke. Scales is brutal and the number of games we've failed to see out this season is not good enough. Thought Aberdeen played well to be fair. Miovski is someone I'd like us to look at in the summer. Surprised based on yesterday that they aren't top six.

The "Old Firm" are not trying to pick referees, Rangers are. Collum is a dreadful referee, he didn't check the only real penalty decision at the weekend - the foul on Turnbull wrongly ruled offside and he didn't send Walsh to the VAR monitor for the straight red card Goldson should have been given for the knee high challenge on Bernardo. Rangers issue with Collum is that he is a catholic and they despise catholics. Baldemort and his band of losers needed an excuse for yet another derby day walloping and the catholic watching from the van was a convenient scapegoat. It is patently ridiculous that a club who have had one penalty against them in 70 odd games think they are hard done to, I doubt they believe it themselves, but they have to placate the hoards who know little other than their team being battered by Celtic. So, they are playing up to and encouraging the worst elements of their fanbase who see this as the culmination of a wider Papal plot, started by Pope John Paul II's visit to Scotland in 1982. If it leads to violence against Collum, which those at Ibrox must surely know they are encouraging - that is a price worth paying to buy Clement's losers more time in their eyes.

James McAvoy seems like a good guy and he is an excellent actor too. Less time for Gerard Butler but we are a broad church I suppose. Impressive performance from Celtic today. Looks like it is all coming together in the middle of the park, nicely timed too with Hatate coming back - with any luck for the first time this season we'll have real competition in who to start. Need more creativity out wide and a genuine challenger for left back and goalie, but things are feeling much better around Celtic than they were a few weeks ago.

Precious little here about Todd Cantwell getting a footballing lesson from McGregor, Dessers being a big diddy or Clement following in the footsteps of Beale in being unable to lay a glove on Celtic. I suppose that was the idea behind kicking off and the Bears have fell for it hook line and sinker. Would have more respect for Rangers if they just came out and said they weren't comfortable with Catholics officiating their games, might win them more credit with a substantial section of their fanbase too.

Thought Clement was a step up from Beale but feel better after watching his Rangers team do the same as every other Rangers and SPL team has for the past two years and just shell long ball after long ball at Greg Taylor. That the Bears would rather focus on the process behind them not getting a penalty for the first time in years, instead of their complete lack of creativity and game plan suits us. A warning for Celtic fans, who like me, want us to add more physicality to our team. They need to be able to play as well, no use having big guys if they're all rotten at football. Thought the captain was brilliant. O'Riley and Bernardo very impressive too. What more is there to say about Kyogo? Best since Larsson.

Nobody insulted the dead of either war. Look to Ibrox for that with the Nazi salutes and SS banners. Lot of Celtic fans come from the North of Ireland or have family from the North and for pretty obvious reasons have a different take on the British army and the poppy from you. Live and let live.

Champions look like they have returned to form. Palma and Yang are looking very dangerous, O'Riley dominant in midfield and big Oh gave that thug centre half a torrid time when he came on.

I don't think people moaning about wild celebrations in the last minute have ever been to a game. What is the point in going to the football if you can't celebrate moments like that? I was near the back of the top tier and I couldn't even see the ball hit the net but it was still brilliant. Near enough that full section of young boys were out on the park when they equalised and fair dous to them, as frustrating as it was at the time, they got a bit back when we got the winner and nobody got hurt. Tough watch at times, Motherwell set up well and had chances. We are well organised but other than the game v Livi we don't seem to be as quick as last season and teams are finding it a bit easier to frustrate us. Very impressed with the way we reacted to conceding the late goal.

Brendan is back. What a well coached team, fantastic result. Great effort from our second string in front of 50,000 angry bears. Probably hard for them to appreciate at the time but I wonder if they'll look back and consider themselves lucky to see a finish like Kyogo's in person?

A statement of intent by Celtic to go out and bring in the best candidate for the job. If the rumours about the financial backing he's going to receive are true then we are in for exciting times. Really good to see Brendan have the courage to come back, respect. He could have held out for a job in England or taken a highly paid gig in the Middle East. He clearly feels like he's got unfinished business. No wonder the Bears are quaking in their boots. They were hoping we'd end up with Buckingham, now we've brought back the manager who haunts their dreams. That's quite a strange way of putting it.

This is the opposite of what I said.

If the Bears can forgive McGregor, Davis and Lafferty for not signing for the newco when Rangers were liquidated and Kenny Miller for scoring against them and kissing the badge during his time with us then we can forgive our double treble winning former manager for walking out when we were 8 points clear and 1/3rd of the way into a treble treble. Rangers fans were hoping and praying we'd end up with someone untried and untested like Maresca, instead we've gone out and brought back our most successful manager since Stein to lead our treble winning team and we've promised to back him in the transfer market. I can see why they're worried and clinging on to "but you said...". Rodgers left when he shouldn't have, but he's come home now and we're all happy about it for the same reason you're scared.

Great news today, hopefully it is all confirmed in good time. Rodgers is the strongest candidate by every measure I can think of. The noise around the appointment that he has been promised funds to improve the side is very encouraging. We signed some dross under him last time but I'm not convinced that all falls on him. The big signings we made - Sinclair, Edouard, Dembele and even Ntcham (for a time) all paid off. The famous targets we didn't push the boat out for Castagne and McGinn would have improved us too. Yeah the Barca game is probably our biggest European win for a while and it's a good example of parking the bus working, but to be honest we've Fraser Forster as much as any tactical decision to thank for the result as anything else. He was unbelievable that night. If we had played them 100 times I don't think it's ending with a Celtic win more than once. I'd sooner we have a go than try to replicate that night again.

I don't think any clubs at the top level fear him or Celtic, but I do think Rangers fear him and he's the last person they want to see back at Celtic Park. Not sure there is any evidence for this. There's no suggestion of division, disruptive behaviour or unhappiness in the dressing room. That said if players do want to go that's just football isn't it. They all have at least two years on their contracts so if they do go then we'll make money on them and reinvest it. Celtic don't have the players to sit in and hold teams at bay for 90 minutes. We're asking for trouble if we do that. If we attack then at least we'll give them something to think about. I'm not saying go gung-ho and go for the throat every time, but come on. Season tickets, champions league tickets, cup tickets and everything else - it's a fortune. Nobody wants to pay for all that to watch their team park the bus and hope for the best.
