  1. I used to work with a bloke whose kids are Graham and Christine. He couldn't resist spelling them Grayem and Cristeen though. Why would you do that?
  2. Aye. That's the Canadias for you. You get lots of Bradens, Brodys etc. Then you get the names that sound as if the parents misheard someone else's name and thought "Hey that's a good one! We'll use that!" Kaden. Kalen, Kalim. It's like a game of Chinese Whispers used to name a baby. SlipperyP's "Rach-elle" We get the same sort of thing going with Elean-orrr too. The first Elean-orr I came across over here was most insistent about it. When she said it I almost replied "Ellen or what?"
  3. I came across a lad a few years back whose first name was Dustin. OK, he was named after a well known film star. Admittedly there were not a lot of Dustins in my year at school. His surname was McCrank. Porn star. Porn star :-)
  4. Oh aye, and there are loads of Jaylen's. Kayden's. Janelle's and Jadens. It's just bloody mental. In fact in all the time I've been here I've only come across one kid called Stephen.
  5. Living in Canada, I've heard a load of these. Finest ones are Bellman, Insbruck (for a girl), Carter (loads of those), Banks, Benton (yes, like it sounds FFS).
  6. When my wife calls me on the landline and gets and engaged tone in the full knowledge that I'm in the house on my own, and then decides to ring me on my mobile.
