  1. Fair enough but that's the worry. I don't doubt certain players ability it's their attitude that alarms me and the stupid needless goals lost almost every game.
  2. Based on what exactly. If you can't find a team mate under no pressure whatsoever and continue to lose goals from corners I fail to see where the optimism comes from.
  3. Spot on absolutely shite if you were a neutral you could be forgiven for wondering if our lives depended on it. Until 2 1 down the lack of urgency at best was alarming . So many misplaced passes under no pressure whatsoever another goal lost from a corner the second a misplaced pass as is the norm. Luckily Stenny didn't seem that bothered. .
  4. Thanks for the detailed reply. I just hope they are fully committed but we can't nor shouldn't rely on others. From what I have seen but you will know more than me Dumbarton are better than Stranraer in nearly every department but football doesn't work that way unfortunately.
  5. No doubt the best team won. Clyde have generally been fine at home since McCall came in but in the main poor in every away game bar the Stenny one obviously. Dumbarton are decent for this level and much better than Stranraer. Which brings me to next week. Jan genuine question do you think Dumbarton will be up for this now you have got the playoffs secured ? The recent 5 0 defeat comes to mind . What happened that night ? Was it just a freak result ?
  6. If we stay up ( and it's still in the balance due to the fixtures remaining) a big sigh of relief is in order and a massive thanks given to Allan Maitland. However we must not forget the culprits who put us in this position and told us even when most of us knew it wasn't the case that promotion was the aim .Allan Maitland spoke on Saturday about the fact Clyde should never have been in this position and promised changes in the summer on and off the park. Also sounds confident about a ground announcement. This guy shows everything we didn't get at the top before charisma ,character enthusiasm a business brain and a football mind. Everything that was lacking in a certain Chairman. We should be grateful for his presence. No celebration from me if we stay up one of utter relief and a hope that lessons have been learned.
  7. Spot on so satisfying after the way they celebrated at Stair Park and also down to the time wasting today. Revenge is sweet.
  8. Glad someone has the sense to see what my point was. The guy who says no credit given to Peterhead Sunday it up. He wasn't even there. Another armchair expert . Ok Peterhead undoubtedly deserved the win. They weren't great they didn't have to be. All four goals were errors on our part . Not 1 good move that resulted in a goal.
  9. Ok let's rephrase it for the football expert here. Most goals we have lost have been due to stupid errors . Rarely skill by an opposition player. Saturday being a point. 2 needless penalties and 2 lost from corners . The second in particular was shambolic. Folk nit picking again.
  10. Now that's what the defence should be . But McCall doesn't seem to fancy Mcginn for some reason. Rennie was fine at Stenny playing just behind Allan and not as deep as recently. Just hope McCall plays folk in their right positions hopefully a decent crowd. Also please start fast with aggression and a fast tempo not the tepid starts as in the last 2 games.
  11. Exactly every goal was avoidable. Same all season.
  12. You're fine thanks it was miserable enough being there in person. Fourth goal you would struggle to see in a public park mind.
  13. You're an absolute p***k . Can't even have a simple debate .
  14. Nobody said they would have anything to gain . Not sure why you continue to dispute it. Why you even bothered with Clyde ? Your own club not in a bit of financial bother or is that another wrong fact.
