  1. I know what response I'll get, but is it really embarrassing for Hibs, who've generally bobbed around mid-table-Championship, to have lost more often than not to us, considering we were one the best teams in the country for around a decade and most of our meetings have likely come in that timeframe?
  2. Do you genuinely think I'm jealous of you being in the top half? If your squad is struggling to cope with "anxiety" over finishing 5th then I'd be concerned massively by that. Managers in the top six should be brave and baws oot to achieve the most they possibly can. Settling for 6th as fine when there's literally nothing to lose is pathetic.
  3. This website shows you potential opponents as things get get clearer. https://kassiesa.net/uefa/
  4. It's complicated. He was a key player and I can't remember any injuries until November 2021, which he was inexplicably started against Celtic at Hampden 2 days after being in Japan for a friendly with Canada. Unsurprisingly he got injured and that was him until about September 2022, when it was kind of clear his prep was all about being fit and available for the World Cup in November. After that he never really played much again as Callum Davidson flailed wildly about chucking shite at the wall trying to make something work by changing things every week. MacLean came in and was faced with having to eviscerate the squad Davidson built (30+ senior players, £1.8m loss) to make us sustainable again, and when two of the higher earners are 30+ and playing the same squad role (Carey, Wotherspoon), and one is out of contract and one isn't, then he didn't have much choice but to let him go really.
  5. The fact they can't accurately capture the correct frame for the ball leaving a players foot is 100% fact, and you doubting it makes your entire post worthless. Cameras aren't quick enough to capture every single millisecond of play, so more often than not there will be a frame missing of the moment the ball is hit. When you're going to centimeters measurement wise it makes all the difference. It's why they're going to automated systems for offsides at the top level. Everything will be tracked and measured individually by 30+ cameras, so a model simulation of the game will take place a fraction of a second slower than the real thing, and they can use that model to show everyone's position the exact moment the ball leaves a players foot. We'll not be able to afford that, obviously, so we'll be stuck with a shite outdated VAR system and our refs can't even use the excuse its to help them get UEFA/FIFA gigs, as using a different system means they'll ruled out.
  6. Aye thats what it was like with us. His general gingerness and overall appearance, combined with his style of play, kind of forces you into thinking hes just a reliable player who lacks something in attack but won't let you down in defence. Then you slowly start to see how little he gives you on the ball and how often he'll lose his man, particularly when defending the back post.
  7. Was looking through these for Saints players and interesting that Brown remains unable to contribute in attack, and is still poor in defence. Has he been this bad? And do you have people convincing themselves hes good defensively entirely because hes not good offensively and they're deluding themselves?
  8. By the sounds of things McPake isn't the only part time, formerly full time, young player whos been allowed to join us training when his current club have a day off. We've been short in numbers for a variety for reasons so the extra numbers helps us too.
  9. I always wonder how the dressing rooms work. Do Inter have one, and Milan have one, and they use them regardless of whos home or away?, or is there just a generic "home" dressing room and whoever is designated as the home team uses it? Same for other teams. Does a team playing away against Inter use a different dressing room than when away to AC Milan?
  10. Seems like they were in administration at the same time as finishing bottom.
