I was talking to Garry last Thursday at my sons wedding and he says everybody wants to stay as it will be some league next year.
He has no idea at this time which players will be kept or ditched but I've heard from other sources that Murray isn't keen on either of our keepers.
All I remember is Man U's five goals; us missing a penalty, and Stevie Gow having a fight with Mark Hughes. I thought it was brilliant that Mark Hughes was taking the game so seriously.
It was Peter Schmeichels first game for Man U.
You are correct that 4 yards have been taken off the length both ends and a yard off both sides. The manager felt that the bigger pitch suited the fitter full-time teams.
On the playing side I would still like a proven scorer to come in.
Great to get both McGinn and Smith signed up,the team is shaping up nicely. Still need another goalie,centre-half and especially a Lister replacement.
Still,it looks a lot more encouraging than the start of last season.
Dennis Ruddy was a bearded psycho when he played with Clydebank. When he played with us he was mostly clean shaven, still hard as nails, and generally managed to escape the referees attention due to the fact that he was an absolute angel compared to big John Cushley. I only ever saw one person go past both of them and he was minus a boot.
You are spot on with Tommy McGrain.
