  1. I agree with your point and think that overall he was a good manager for us, but we were hardly comfortable in his first season. If we'd lost that final game against hearts by 2 goals we'd have been relegated. His time with us was generally an upward trend though and we were unfortunate to not achieve a top 6 finish.
  2. We've not lost away in the league to Livingston for almost 4 years and they're rooted to the bottom of the league. We should definitely be looking to pick up points away to them.
  3. There must've been 3 Saints players that headed off the bar - BBC said it was Luke Bolton.
  4. Dundee played well today and showed good game management when we were trying to chase the game. They'll be absolutely fine this season, Tony Docherty seems a decent manager. Saints on the other hand were way off it today and looked sluggish. Hopefully the virus that's worked its way through the squad is to blame for that, as it's worrying otherwise. The international break is coming at a good time for us - gives us time to get players back and maybe tweak the system slightly.
  5. To suggest the current format of the league cup negatively affects the results of top flight teams smacks of sour grapes. If anything it's weighted in our favour as it's seeded to give premiership teams the best possible chance of qualification.
  6. Fair enough, had no idea he was at Aberdeen as a youth.
  7. You signed McLean when he was 23 and he made his league debut for you almost immediately. He definitely can't be classed as an Aberdeen youth player.
  8. It definitely would improve disciplinary records across the board...but players could also try just not committing red card worthy fouls.
  9. I've personally never been at a game where VAR has intervened on goal line decisions. Also VAR wouldn't be used in similar circumstances in England because they have goal line technology. I can certainly see why there's ambiguity with these types of decisions, particularly when you see the angles provided by the cameras at most grounds.
  10. I don't know if you've seen the highlights, but it doesn't look like it crossed the line at all. As you said though, I'm not even sure if VAR checks these things.
  11. Looking at the thread title it was doomed from the start, considering the game is on the 25th February.
  12. Did they not say Dunfermline was included in their definition of the central belt?
