  1. What's involved in volunteering then, how do people get involved. Just contact the club? What are they looking for volunteers for? Obviously people's skill sets vary, if the club needs someone to help with an IT based email service for example I'm certainly not the man. I'm sure I could spare some time each week though if I felt that I could be of benefit.
  2. What do you mean? I mean that communication should be better Mark was doing a great job with his updates which seem to have dried up, at the supporters meeting my honest opinion was that he has started to become a bit more defensive and not as transparent. Maybe that's my negativity tho. My hope is that when an SLO is in place again that we move forward, this will be determined on what they are able/allowed to do. The twitter feed seems to have improved so that's a good step forward.
  3. Sadly you are not alone, it still baffles me. A lot of the group I used to go with hardly make any games now. Probably a group of 7 or 8 are now down to 2 for every home game with an additional 2 making every other. It came at a time where lives were changing at our age group and kids/prioritising money became a consideration. The vote gave many (in my opinion) the reason they needed to stay at home.
  4. Yes, master the art of communicating on the website and social media first I'd say.
  5. At what point did I say that. My point is that it's an opportunity to engage more people that is missed.
  6. Aye great. Fantastic input. My point was to highlight that the people who don't attend matches could be encouraged to maybe go on match days by dangling an inexpensive hook when they are actually at the arena. This thread is great at highlighting why more people don't attend.
  7. Quite honestly the reply I would've expected. My point was that this is the start of the season, the ideal chance to sell new kit and probably more importantly Junior Blues. You are correct though there is no way that the club can be expected to staff a shop where there needs to be wages shelled out every evening but as I said in my post the first sessions of the season, first time travel club had been all together in arena at the start of a new season seem to be missed opportunities to me. It's an opinion but at a time where we are struggling with getting additional income and obviously numbers through the gate then surely £7.50 or whatever the minimum wage is for someone to stay on (if office staff finish at 4) is worth this huge gamble.
  8. That's maybe a bit unfair. The whole PR/customer relations thing really gets on my goat tho.
  9. The club tries to do whatever it can on the cheap.... sorry most economically.
  10. Maybe a chance to top up the 20's wages or maybe a case of the office staff starting an hour later on a Wed to be there when there is a rise in foot fall. Was same on a sat for the Stenhousemuir game at start of season, potentially some of your most loyal fans (customers) and the shop was again closed. Doesn't make sense to me.
  11. Sadly I work office hours so that wouldn't work. I would have thought that queens could staff it between office staff and under 20's though? No??
  12. First kids clubs of the season today at Palmerston, good to see them back! I'd imagine 30 or so kids, fans of the future, fantastic, great chance to sell some strips etc.... SHOP CLOSED. .... deary me Queens.
