  1. Looks like someones trying to stir the pot here, theres a massive difference between a coming together in the box wich actually happened and someone trying to put the head in someone wich never happened or the ref would have dealt with it because he was only 5-10 yards away, stop clutching at straws to make the larkhall player out to be the big bad guy, 2 wrongs dont make a right but its finished, the games over let it go and im sure the next game the 2 boys will shake hands n forget about it
  2. U can butter the story up whatever way u like to suit whatever agenda u chose but the harsh FACTS are there was a coming together in the box at a corner between both players 30 seconds prior to the incident that BOTH players required hospital treatment, i never seen said incident so cant comment but i find it very hard to believe as said above the larkhall player stopped n carluke boys teeth went into his head causing a 2-3 inch deep cut, if that was the case the boys teeth would be lying on the grass n they weren't. So before u pop on a public forum to throw mud at a young boy n question his character always remember theres 2 sides to every story. I hope both boys recover ok and are back on the park soon
  3. Having been involved in the amateur game at various levels for a number of years the biggest problem or change in circumstances for me is the mon-fri n half shift sat jobs are a thing of the past and more guys are now working shift work with weekends included, that in itself brings problems like guys not making training so the auld dont train dont play scenario goes out the window and that leads to teams struggling for numbers at training every week and in turn if said players dont make training yet play every week, some guys who get dropped then take the huff rightly or wrongly and maybe move on or just chuck it. Theres also loads of other issues like lack of decent grass parks due to council cuts, the cost of hiring out astros has gone through the roof and theres also a lack of younger players making the step up from boys club to amateur, but i also believe the problem goes far bigger than amateur football n extends to boys clubs and junior clubs struggling for numbers every week and personally i dont see it improving anytime soon unfortunately
