Don't ask why but I was down at the East Fife game a couple of weeks ago and Ferguson pretty much strolled it and scooped the MOTM. Hard to judge against punter opponents but was very composed with decent energy. 6 months in the championship then back in time for our 2024 European spot push.

Can’t say I’m a massive Davidson fan at present but the amount of basic errors from players surely can’t really be put on the manager. Miss placed passes under no pressure, an inability to control the ball and being caught in possession all happened far too often tonight. Biggest thing that stood out for me with the almost silence on the pitch other than the occasional shout form Hallberg. Was weirdly quiet compared to the Elgin lot shouting the place down.

Quick question in all the doom and gloom. I have an old saints top I think from 97 but it doesn’t have a sponsor on it. Any ideas why? Can’t imagine it was anything to do with licensing at that time.

I’m not usually one to single out crap players but Crawford is absolutely hopeless

I am trying, but it’s a student one and not sure how rigorous their checks are at the turnstiles.

Not sure if I’m on my own here but reckon many people with season tickets won’t be using their seats? I’ve got a single ticket in the east stand but in order to sit with my dad and brother I had to move to the north stand so my season ticket seat is currently empty. I’m hoping nobody else has done the same and there’ll be hundreds of empty seats in the east stand come Thursday [emoji23]

Been a big fan of Kane in recent weeks and think he’s added a lot to the team but it’s a strange situation when I’d probably back any of our Centre half’s in a one on one with the goalie over our number 9. He’s just unable to shoot. Even the goals he’s scored have been half scuffed. Long may it continue though.

So this confuses me even more. Out of your 10 outfield players you have 4 wingers/ wingbacks, 3 central defenders and 2 holding(ish) central midfielders. If you’re using the CB’s as an extra attacking threat (which I don’t really have much time for) you surely want them getting into central positions where they can attack balls into the box and use their physicality a bit. At present it seems he wants Jason Kerr to be pushing into areas already occupied by 2 guys delivering crap crosses into the box purely to deliver more crap crosses into the box. No wonder we’re not scoring goals and don’t even get me started on starting Kane over May...

I just struggle to get my head around playing wing backs and wingers in the same formation. Effectively just 4 guys who should all be doing a similar job punting balls into one striker who’s strength isn’t really getting on the end of crosses. Is the whole point of wing backs not that they work as wingers when going forward and full backs when defending?
