  1. There’s not really been an explanation from the club as to why it’s been so bad. As you say Dens has been consistently one of the best pitches in the country for a long time. The obvious assumption is that they’ve reduced the maintenance budget due to lack of income while we’ve not had fans through the gate (understandably) but it’s been a fairly spectacular drop off in quality. Not heard anything about the new stadium for a long time. Presume that’ll be put back even further due to the current financial climate
  2. I have nothing to base this on, however I’m becoming increasingly concerned that our Yank paymasters will push for a move to an artificial surface over the summer. Possibly citing the condition of the Dens Park pitch over the winter period. The cost of maintaining a top quality pitch over a wet cold Scottish winter must be enormous. As I say there is no basis for this other than my idle mind.
  3. I had a 58 Altea where the same thing happened to both front windows. My dad also had an 11 plate where the same thing happened. I think there is a bit of an issue with moisture causing corrosion on the piano wire bits which snap / come loose from a fixing. He took his to the garage where they sorted it with manufacturer parts and charged somewhere in the region of £250 inc labour (this was maybe 4 years ago). Although they said it was a c**t of a job due to being so fiddly. I bought a £75 kit off eurocarparts, took the door to bits, fucked about with it for a couple days without success then sheepishly deposited at said garage with tail between my legs. Unless you are quite dexterous and good with finicky wee things and have the patience of a saint I’d suck it up and head to a garage.
  4. Much appreciated! It was a grand spot as I was enjoying the solitary pleasure of a pint by myself. The added bonus of social distancing not being drawn into conversation by some slavering old jake.
  5. Booked mine for my birthday. Many pints will be had, the free one will Taste the besT.
  6. I’m planning on a couple of sharpeners before the game but I shall have my young lad with me - where in the vicinity of the Hilltown will be fine with me taking him in?
