  1. Even Guardiola wouldn't write that nonsense. Embarrassing and disrespectful.
  2. Good response. As a Buffs fan who has been to most of the grounds in the West of Scotland, that was my first visit to Keanie Park. It was great to visit an old school ground for the first time, place is oozing with stories and atmosphere. The pitch isn't the best, but you've explained why in some detail. I'm not a great fan of money men coming into clubs, we had that 25 years ago and on the park very successful, off it there was no legacy created from the money spent. Hopefully, for long standing Burgh fans, you get to enjoy the money invested whilst creating a legacy for the future should the money men lose interest.
  3. There's no chance of them going up. It's been said for weeks that they play as a team of individuals and that's how it turned out today. Half of their players looked as if they'd rather be somewhere else. Good 3 points for a battling Buffs side with a very enjoyable last minute winner.

  5. I thought they were excellent. McCulloch was in fine form. A far better gig than I was expecting. I suppose the break was to nurse his voice? Just pleased to witness live some of the best songs ever recorded.
  6. I think the failure to renew/refresh the squad for the start of the season was just so disappointing. I've never been convinced with Aitken's recruitment or ability to get the players that we need for the budget that we have. It's all about having the right contacts, not all about the money. That's been very kind too and excusing Chris for our relegation last season despite having lots of games to get us to safety.
  7. Sadly, there's no chance of Buffs being promoted now. I'm sure the manager and his players have tried their best, but the committee have a big decision to make now. Aitken did have plenty of games to keep us in the premier. This season, we just didn't have the squad refresh required and started off really slowly. Individual errors, particularly in defence and a pretty bizarre goalkeeping situation have cost us dearly this season. It's time to start planning for next season now.

  9. Is it reasonable to think there are no players on 'stupid money' at Darvel?

  11. Revisiting two 80s classics, The Waterboys 'This Is The Sea' and U2 'War'. Both albums have been remastered at some stage. The Waterboys album is an absolute classic, every song on it is absolutely fantastic. Strangely, I didn't get into this album via Whole of the Moon, I heard The Pan Within played constantly on a holiday in Greece. Whole of the Moon is an absolute belter of course, right up there with my favourite songs of all time. The U2 album is a step back in time for me. Like so many, I gave up on U2 a long time ago, but hearing War again brings back memories of happy days of my youth, it's a really strong record and has aged a lot better than it has any right to. New Years Day is, like Whole of the Moon, one of my favourite songs of all time, the unedited version on this album is absolutely fantastic. Although War is a really good album, I firmly believe that the follow up 'The Unforgettable Fire' was U2 at their raw and creative peak, although many would disagree that 'The Joshua Tree' was the better album. It's been great revisiting these albums on vinyl, been a while since I played either of them.
  12. Tranent 3 Kilwinning 0 Decimated with injuries and no strikers, Buffs fielded 3 u20s including Harvey Gilmour. Despite this, the team battled hard against a competent Tranent side two leagues above us. Of the 5 chances Tranent created, they scored with 3 of them. Buffs had a few half chances but struggled to test the Tranent goalkeeper. Next up is Neilston at Brig O Lea in the league.
  13. A huge game today. Sadly, we are ravaged with injuries. Can we pull off a major shock?
