I remember the Sons playing Hibs in the old 'League Cup'. Must have been 1972. Last game for Kenny Wilson as he signed for Carlisle after the game. Highspots - Sons won 4 -1 I think?. Local lad Roddy Mackenzie played in goal for Hibs having signed from Airdrie. Big Puma made a mug of him as he dropped the ball to roll it out , forgetting big Roy was behind him, lost the ball, oops Goal!
