  1. Not as far as Colva, Sinquerin Beach, just past Newtons heading to Med Centre (!). Food is amazing.....
  2. Next time you're walking past Fisherman's Cove in Candolim, give Lenny and Blaze a wave. Those lads have carried me back to the Highland Beach many a time......
  3. In fairness to the wee cheeky chappie, fans in general and the media in particular, do tend to assume that because a sportsman has a level of sporting prowess he must also therefore have an inate level of intellectual ability. Some of the hilarious rantings, twisted logic and hideous tautology of Keegan,Hoddle, McLaren and Ally of course show the real truth. However, has there ever been a manager who has gotten away with such a level of duplicity, incompetence and deceit as McCoist? He must go to bed every night thinking 'The wheels must be coming off, I'm definitely gonna get sussed tomorrow' Yet every day the Gers fans hold him up as their anchor against the 'bad people'. Ally doesn't do walking away; why would he walk out of a golden gig, paid for by the most gullible, naiive and blinkered support surely in the history of football?
  4. You may get the chance. It looks like there is a possibility your team will be playing against them next season.......
  5. If I'm not mistaken, I don't think you are allowed to comment on this thread: 'We would also like to state that we will not be lectured by a Greenock Morton fan'
  6. "Doing a Leeds" The term "doing a Leeds" or to "do a Leeds" has since become synonymous with financial mismanagement of a football club with potential dire consequences. It can refer specifically to any club that fails to plan adequately for the financial impact of either failure to qualify for the Champions League, or of not adequately restructuring following relegation from the Premier League to avoid a further drop, or more generally, to the rapid demise in the relative standing of any club
  7. A wee bit of sick just came up in my mouth there...... Have you considered running an 'Evocative Writing Course' for the more intellectually-challenged posters on here?
  8. "That's what the club's been built on: loyalty." ....'and arrogance' ....'and cheating' ....'and bigotry' ....'oops nearly forgot sectarianism'
  9. AD, why are you insisting on smashing your head off a brick wall? What you are trying to do is the equivilant of trying to explain Stephen Hawkins' 'Brief History of Time' to a flange (copyright Not the Nine O'Clock News) of Bonobo monkeys during the mating season. They simply don't have the capacity to concentrate on what you're saying. For the sake of your own sanity man. give it up.......
  10. And the award for the most illiterate piece of repetious phrasing within a short paragraph goes to........ The RangersBearThe RangerWithThe RangersMe.......
  11. Hmm the wisdom is strong in this one..... Into the wrong forum he must have wandered.
  12. It's a pity that such a level headed point of view is spoiled by your insistance in using that ridiculous different coloured font. I suppose you are in a rock and a hard place situation where having been slagged off so much for using it, changing would be viewed as bending over to bullies . My opinion ~ change it and feck 'em.
  13. I think you would be better off getting Rory Bremner in for Ally McCoist. I bet he would do a better imitation of a competant manager.
  14. It's the epitome of the immovable object and unstoppable item. Short of Platini or Blatter visiting the homes of every bear and every tim and clarifying it in words of less than one syllable, we seemed doomed to watch the endless 'Deid ~ Alive' evidence regurgitated ad infinitum. From my own simplistic perpectiive it reminds me of Trig and his broom: the handle's been replaced and so has the brush but seemingly it's still the same broom. But then again, the same mono-browed, intellectually challenged, slack jawed roasters are turning up at Red Brick Towers every week and the East End still has it's victim obsessed jolly craicsters who think that seeing 'The Quiet Man' twice gives them Irish Citizenship. So all in all the status quo remains, we still have the same village idiots of Scottish football.
