    As an Ayr fan I thought this would pass me by, until I remembered the Dalziel/Barr era.

    Thomas Gill - Norwegian International Goalkeeper - played in 4-2 win against Brazil less than a year before. Needless to say he turned out shit.

    Marco Ciardi - Swedish Midfielder - played in the Champions League with some Italian side the previous season. Needless to say he turned out shit.

    Ayr were paying thse boys £2k per week in 2002

    Eddie will be a decent signing for Raith. He's probably quite under-rated at this level, but is a good player and will probably prove to be quite popular.

    If you're in the market for a part-time left-back you'll not do much better.
