  1. Crowd was 6,555 and Hearts sold around 4,300 - so more like 2,200 Airdrie fans which sounds more realistic unless I've missed something?
  2. 47 seats left in blocks A-C. Block D now opened up, minus 4 vertical rows for segregation. 340 left in total KM7 1,857 Main 4,075 North 956 Total: 6,888
  3. The way I see it, roughly 4000 - our core support, at least 3.5k of which have proved over the last few years that they will turn up literally no matter what 500 - fairweather fans, happy to come along when the team is playing well, nicely demonstrated by this season 500 - the more casual fans who will come along every week next season given the general optimism around the club. The same ones that turned out when we were in the spl and will the next time we reach the premiership That gives around 5k who I would genuinely class as Falkirk fans who actively follow the club and will regularly buy tickets, tops, other merch etc most seasons. That leaves 500 - very casual falkirk fans who will turn up for play off games, when we play Dunfermline and other big matches 1500 - day trippers coming to the Alloa game with a limited connection to the club that live in the town eg family or partners of falkirk fans, or friends of falkirk fans (which usually support the arsecheeks or occasionally another scottish club). This group swells by thousands more for cup semis and finals. It's that last 2k which is crucial to tap into in order to continually build the support of the club, but also the hardest to do. If we can tempt back even 1 in 20 of them next season that will be good going
  4. Our average is 4,602 at the moment and will rise to approx 5.5k next season with home gates increasing by around 500 and another 4-500 away fans so sounds like they're pretty much spot on tbf
  5. 83 tickets left for the Alloa game now with almost half being single seats. Imagine the next block will be getting opened up this week
  6. Watching it back still think it was a harsh red but we'd probably have no chance of an appeal. In our last few games the refs have generally been decent but he was utterly shite throughout. Actually think our last 3 games against Kelty have been the 3 worst officiating performances of the season. Tbf it must be difficult when Tidser is constantly falling on his fat arse and then in the refs ear every two seconds complaining about anything and everything
  7. Nesbitt and Tait both played absolutely out their skins there. Either Tait really didnt have an attitude problem at Hamilton at all or he simply didnt want to play for Rankin because he was everywhere Ref was utterly stinking throughout the game. Everything went against us today, both in terms of decisions and countless little deflections, breaks of the ball etc so fair play to the players for digging in and keeping the unbeaten run going. Thought the backing from the fans was tremendous in the second half which definitely helped the players get over the line and keep the unbeaten run going - to play for over 75 minutes with 10 men is some effort
  8. Donaldson booted a high ball clear then the Kelty player ran into him so caught him at chest height. Ridiculously unlucky to get sent off for it. I can see why the ref thought it was a red card but looked incredibly harsh considering the circumstances
  9. Absolutely everything has gone against us so far. First the freak red card incident for Donaldson, they the even more freak own goal by McCann, then Kelty scoring an absolute worldy from no where seconds after we'd gone back in front. Need to keep the heads for the second half
  10. Ticket sales for the Alloa game still going along nicely, 152 left for the north stand now
  11. This is spot on for me. Donaldson is able to advance and have a shot because all 10 outfield Alloa players are <30 yards from their own goal and playing with a back 7. That happens because the opposition is absolutely terrified of giving us any space in the final third We've seen a lot of long range strikes and goals this season as a result
  12. Aye McDaid looked poor when he was with us but tbf he was playing with utter jobbers like Ben Hall, Brad McKay, Gary Miller, Steven Hetherington and Michael Ruth (none of whom could even perform basics such as running, tackling or heading the ball). He also only started 8 games and then got injured and sent back to Dundee in January I've been to a couple of LOI matches over the years and although there are some good players scattered through the clubs, the overall standard is abysmal. Probably equivalent to the bottom of L1/ top of L2 here McDaid would be a poor signing for Thistle imo
  13. Voted for Morrison's vs Montrose. Could have easily gone for Donaldson's, Lang's or Spencer's as they were all equally as impressive. The fact it was in the dying seconds to secure a crucial win at that time in the season just tipped it for me The two where we passed the opposition to death before scoring were great examples of what we have been doing all season. Tait's was a real beauty as well but possibly slightly wind assisted. Really we have been treated to a range of great goals from a hat-ful of different scorers, it's been a joy to watch.
  14. Looking at how the 9th place side have faired historically (red for relegated) since the play-offs were introduced, there is around a 70% chance they are doomed. Three of the five that did survive were then relegated the following season. The other two were also relegated within 5 years. Seems like it might be a bit cursed actually and 9th would be best avoided at all costs 05/06 Alloa Athletic 06/07 Stranraer 07/08 Cowdenbeath 08/09 Queens Park 09/10 Arbroath 10/11 Alloa Athletic 11/12 Albion Rovers 12/13 East Fife 13/14 East Fife 14/15 Stenhousemuir 15/16 Cowdenbeath 16/17 Peterhead 17/18 Queens Park 18/19 Stenhousemuir 19/20 No play-off (Covid-19) 20/21 Dumbarton 21/22 Dumbarton 22/23 Clyde
  15. As most people have predicted, Kelty have pulled themselves from trouble Some absolutely massive head-to-heads in the remaining fixtures between the other three: Cove Rangers vs Alloa Athletic Edinburgh City vs Annan Athletic Falkirk vs Kelty Hearts Montrose vs Hamilton Academical Stirling Albion vs Queen of the South Alloa Athletic vs Hamilton Academical Annan Athletic vs Falkirk Edinburgh City vs Stirling Albion Kelty Hearts vs Montrose Queen of the South vs Cove Rangers Cove Rangers vs Edinburgh City Falkirk vs Alloa Athletic Hamilton vs Kelty Hearts Montrose vs Queen of the South Stirling Albion vs Annan Athletic Looking at how results might pan out it may well all come down to goal difference between two teams or possibly all three. Stirling would appear to be at a clear disadvantage in that regard, and the -16 just from their two visits to Falkirk and Hamilton isn't looking too clever now I reckon whoever finishes 9th will have too much for the League 2 sides, though having to negotiate two 2-legged ties just to stay in the same division always feels pretty perilous
