  1. Strangely, the side that most would pick as their most iconic under Klopp was only ever picked once, in the CL final against Spurs: Alisson Alexander-Arnold Matip Van Dijk Robertson Henderson Fabinho Wijnaldum Salah Firmino Mane
  2. Meanwhile, in Turkey, they have learned from Scullion's mistake;
  3. The pitch is what it is, I actually don't mind away games having a bit of variety. It's a totally different challenge. For me, the toilets being a pair of portaloos is really not acceptable after nearly 2 years in the SPFL. My kid goes to nearly every home game and has been to a few away; I'd not be taking him anywhere near Bonnyrigg. Hopefully they stay up (not at our expense obviously) as they've managed to do it without any OTT financial backing and are a big enough club to establish themselves at this level.
  4. Whilst a clanger, is it possibly then a handball from Allan? Hard to tell on my phone. Not complaining after the couple of jammy goals Forfar got last week.
  5. Just seen the clip of Scullion taking on the Bonnyrigg fans. I suspect one of their supporters won't be allowed back to the football for quite a while, and that we might be without a player for a few games. Two manky characters having a spit at each other. It's completely idiotic getting involved in something like that. Hopefully McCall absolutely hammers him.
  6. The players scrapped away brilliantly there, a proper team effort. Fair play after the just criticism in previous "must win" games. Hard to pick out anyone above the others given the nature of the game but a big shout out to the goalkeeper for an excellent save at 1-1, and the manager for picking the right team and making the right subs to see it out.
  7. We didn't even let the game go long enough to get into a scrap. We are the only team in the World who immediately give up a set piece goal having presumably spent the week preparing for it. We've actually done okay given the pitch doesn't allow a game of football to break out but you simply can't start a goal down. The performance from the officials has been absolutely wild.
  8. The 70 degree slope on the pitch probably helped clear the water in fairness.
  9. We need players up for a scrap. Unfortunately we only have about 7, and five of them are centre halves. I think we really need to consider how we got more height in the team. Whether that's putting Howie into midfield or fullback, or going three at the back. We simply can't afford to give up cheap chances at set pieces.
  10. Forfar have had a plastic pitch for ages. I think it would have been a few weeks earlier against Peterhead. There's been a couple of cup wins since as well. On another note, we'll probably be the first team relegated despite going a season unbeaten in our home kit.
  11. I agree, bad luck for both. What is not bad luck though is inviting a succession of balls thrown into the box by failing to retain possession, or giving away needless set pieces. The first came from Ballantyne running into the back of a Forfar player for no reason when the ball was high up the pitch. The second saw King stick the ball out for a throw without even trying to get distance on his clearance. Those were just two examples of what must have ran well into double figures in terms of silly decisions.
  12. Sula, Hamilton and Lyon were the only three that stood up to be counted in the period at the start of the second half. It was unfortunate that two of them ultimately set up the equaliser. I can't comprehend why we chose to just sit back and defend a lead off the back of two clean sheets this season. No doubt King will take a hammering but that's the worst Ray Grant has ever played.
  13. Today was terminal as they proved again to be a big bunch of wimps. That second half performance, from a winning position, was dreadful.
  14. Forfar have got steadily worse towards halftime and we have steadily improved. Ballantyne has had a good game but we are too soft in midfield for my liking. We should benefit from introducing Kabia into a stretched game.
  15. The wee training video suggests Sula is fit and that Howie is close but not quite back fully involved yet.
