  1. Can confirm Dalbeattie Star abstained from the vote for obvious reasons.
  2. 28/7 Dalbeattie v Cumbernauld - given as 167 which I can only presume does not include children.
  3. Players were told to spend their win bonuses carefully but Lee Wells goes out and buys a Lamborghini and now the secret is out! Club has had to hire a car park attendant for all matches just to look after the super cars. Dalbeattie's mystery millionaire will not be happy - he wanted complete anonymity. Could be back to the relegation scrap now.
  4. Do you honestly think Dalbeattie Star's position in the league has anything to do with the statement they issued? If yes then you obviously do not know any of the people involved in the club and you should not judge others by your very low standards. In case you haven't noticed covid numbers are rising at a frightening rate and checking peoples temperature as they enter a football stadium is not going to stop it. Look at the alarming covid numbers in the EPL with all the precautions they are taking, to see what a precarious position we are all in. We all love our football but to continue playing at this level under the present circumstances is nothing short of madness. All they are saying is pause the league for the time being and carry on the season when it is safe to do so.
  5. I agree that WW should only go down if Cove is promoted.
  6. Deserved win for Star. Kelty better side in the first half but Star defended well and went in at half time one down. Scored within seconds of the re-start and though you wouldn't say the second goal was coming, it was deserved. Still had a number of experienced players out injured or suspended but was still a strong starting Xi. Two teenagers started the match with another four on the bench. Kelty played well in the first half but run out of ideas in the second.
  7. Gretna always bring a good away support to Islecroft (nearly a local derby!) We also had a group for hospitality which also helps plus the sun was shining as well.
  8. Will get the Star attendance for you some time this week.
  9. Not sure, but it was made abundantly clear before last seasons play offs that they were happy to remain in the South League for the next few seasons at least.
  10. Attendance for Star v East Kilbride will appear on Star website over the weekend.
  11. Threave don't want to come up.
  12. Impressive set up at Kelty. Wind made it difficult but both teams put in a decent shift. Draw probably a fair result and one which we would have settled for beforehand considering the number of players we had missing. Tough opening set of fixtures for Star so every point more than welcome.
