  1. This groundhopper puts the crowd at 300 for the Fort William v Clydebank game, though I also saw some Clydebank fans estimate 400.
  2. I've had this problem with Viaplay, too. I wanted the whole Viaplay package rather than just the sport, so I subscribed through the website and faffed about trying to find a decent way of getting it on my tv through the firestick (tried and failed at side loading it) but usually ended up using an HDMI cable from my laptop. Unsubscribed back in the spring but then took up the £59 offer and have bought a Roku stick which has the Viaplay app available. Works fine and I have access to the Nordic movies/series as well as all the sport streams (not just the linear channels).
  3. Yes, I don't know why Tottenham have come to set some kind of standard for what a sports stadium costs. It's a gigantic hospitality venue. The GAA want to rebuild Casemount Park as a 34,000 capacity stadium. Recent estimates put it at £110-120m (well up on initial estimates of £70m). Should we let them know that as it's more than half the size of Tottenham's ground it's going to cost £400m+?
  4. The £760m figure is disputed by people working for Everton, but even if true, Hampden wouldn't be including anything like the internal suites and facilities of a stadium like that. The main stand at Hampden would be retained and it contains the most expensive facilities. You could spend £500m on the other three sides, but I don't think that means you have to. It would have far less hospitality than Everton/Tottenham etc, for example, as there aren't enough games to justify the cost.
  5. They do literally say they would retain the south stand and a 'podium' (i.e. a raised platform area) would be built outside.
  6. Are you sure it's not the street level that's raised in the plan?
  7. It would obviously cost a lot but what's being suggested I can't see why this would even be close to £1bn. It's not going to be internally like Tottenham's stadium, and I don't think they'd do a lot to the south stand other than external alterations.
  8. Is this new or have I just missed it? https://www.holmesmiller.com/project/hampden-stadium
  9. There's a lot of cherry picking going on there. Is the average salary at Celtic and Rangers anything close to 20 times the average at Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs? Nope - not by a long shot. I'm not suggesting it's easy for those clubs to do better than one or both of the OF pair in a particular season but I think they have underperformed. Look at the signings they've made over the last few years. Really not much better than the clubs below them with much smaller budgets. And the managers? Why is it clubs like Bodo Glimt can come along and pump Celtic home and away, yet it's perennially beyond the ability of Hearts?
  10. Yeah, I feel like we are on an upward path so it would be weird to make massive changes. I don't see the harm in having bigger leagues below the Championship, though. If Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen could ever properly get their shit together they would sometimes split the top two, or better. Plenty of clubs in Europe with similar resources manage to put together strong teams. In the meantime, I think there should be a national campaign to highlight the complete embarrassment of being an OF fan, starting in primary schools.
  11. I'm not sure what an 'LL standard' player is - one that's better than low end L2? Anyway, Albion aren't in such a bad place as they can surely tap into the (many) players in west central Scotland more easily than many of the LL teams.
  12. I'm always baffled by the way our 3rd and 4th tiers have remained as 10-team leagues for so long. Who actually wants that?
