  1. ETA industrial estate is another ground. Apologies!
  2. Thinking of going to Kelty to add another ground to the list. Can I pay at the gate on Saturday and is it ok to park somewhere in the industrial estate?
  3. Have an iPhone SE running 14.7.1 Just joined a new company and policy is to have do not disturb mode on automatically if you are driving. Not even meant to use hands-free when driving. I use the phone for navigation so connect it to the van's carplay system. It doesn't let me make calls and mutes incoming mails/texts but calls can come in ok? Anyone help that is more savvy than me please?
  4. Does anyone know the cutoff date of birth for a player to be eligible for the league starting, in theory, in August? Is it under 20 on Jan 1st this year?
  5. Apart from wondering why Clyde should feature in this sad day for Berwick, perhaps you could explain how Clyde fans would experience the trauma of losing in the pyramid system at the end of next season?
  6. People who use fog lights inappropriately. Don't turn them on at the slightest hint! Or when it's raining hard. Plus put side lights on with front fogs to look 'cool'. Folk who, when you've moved out on the average speed camera A9 to allow them on to lane 1, accelerate rapidly meaning you're now caught in lane 2 and needing to accelerate more than them or having to ease off and merge back in. Middle lane driving or lane 2&3 driving in a 4 lane motorway when 1 is clear for miles. Seems to be that lane 1 is for lesser mortals.
  7. Well done to the others above. Syd, the Clyde historian, confirmed it with Joe himself who'd never seen that photo.
  8. I’d been quite enjoying the recent trend for live, pre-election ‘debates’ between politicians and wondered what would happen if there was a televised P&B debate on the overall Rangers situation with a team of ‘real’ Rangers fans and the alternate viewpoint of ‘P&D’ supporters? No offence intended to anyone but hopefully a tongue in cheek bit of humour based on my reading of this thread for years. Suggested teams assuming the main folks plus a ‘celeb’ ? Pro Rangers – Tedi, Bennett , No8 , The_Kincardine and Donald Findlay The ‘P&D’ lads- WRK, MT, HBQC (copyright Bennett) , Dhenbhoy (in absentia/back?) and oor Phil Questions that would have to be asked? Would No8 bring the rest in his taxi (a Ford Ranger obviously) with registration RFC 1872 ? Would we have to Skype DB in from Goa as he relaxed, indolently, on a beach with a cool drink much to our jealousy? Would ‘our’ Bennett turn up like ‘the’ Bennett from ‘Commando’ ? (the basis for his username if I mind?) Would the words “deid, obsession, anything with a superfluous ‘h’ , McMadeupname, war chest” etc etc be banned from the discussion? Would the above mean the debate was pointless? (a bit like Clyde for the first six games of most seasons…) Would the teams move their seats further away from the other team in that Jeremy Kyle show way to indicate you really don’t want to be near the person/people? Would MT turn up in a combine harvester to be ironic bearing in mind some of the comments I’ve seen on his locale? Nightmare to park though and difficult at the drive-through… Would HB sneak out and replace No8’s reg with SE12 VCO ? Would he also turn up dressed as a lawyer? (Car reg LAW 1967 obviously) Would the ‘411 Club’ appear as studio guests? Who’d be the ‘moderator’ ? ‘Mr X’ with a physical hammer? Would Sports Direct sponsor the debate and any future debates for at least seven years? Would Shull turn up with incontinence pants….? Would folk sit next to him due to the smell? Would the advert break contain adverts from Wonga, Magners/Guinness , First4Lawyers etc? Who’d have the first ‘seethe’ or ‘meltdown’ ? Would The_Kincardine come across as a kind of male Suzi Dent from Countdown’s Dictionary Corner? Would AWRA turn up but be evicted after five minutes then try to sneak back in again? If WRK (ahem, tucking his celtic strip under the Killie one) turned up slightly late, would Bennett sneer “ welcome back <from Parkhead..> WRK, so glad you could make it…” (only relevant if you’ve seen the latter stages of ‘Commando’) Would ‘thepundit’ run a book on who would win the debate? Any predictions…? If the debate went badly, would Tedi wipe out the ‘P&D’ lads with five ‘ninja stars’ ? Would HB destroy Donald in a legal debate? Without smilies?? Any more???
  9. Ken, That extract is from the 30th June. This came out immediately before the vote on the 13th July- http://www.clydefc.co.uk/news/2012/07/13/4142/#.UvgCqdHitdg This is the important part so folk don't have to read through it all- It would not be for the good of the game to compound the problems of a club by refusing entry to the SFL for Rangers Football Club. We will therefore take that leap of faith and vote in favour of Resolution 1 despite not a single word of reasoning having been provided to support the Resolution. If I remember correctly, there was an article after the vote in the MSM where, ironically, an ex-Clyde player turned journalist inferred that Clyde were the club who voted against Rangers. I also remember Twitter requests from a Rangers fan asking for clarification from the Clyde board that they weren't the club who voted against Rangers. The club responded by pointing him several times to the fact that we signalled our intentions before the vote and gave him the link above. The response was along the lines of "aye, but we want a Clyde director to come out and make a statement" and , to please those who like stereotypes, there was talk of a boycott...
  10. Clyde issuing statements on integrity - a team who build and ruin careers on a regularly basis as they struggle to survive. A team who decanted from their own locality to relocate to the middle of knowhere and regularly have issues over unpaid bills to the council. So realistically their own finances and future are also decidedly ropey. (Sorry this was not an anti Clyde post - more an example of double standards) Below is a comment made from our finance director on the 30th March with regard to our debt. 'We will stand proudly in 2014-15 saying that we paid every single penny of our debt. We haven't take the easy option of administration, hidden by Directors' Loans or accounting procedures. I've always said it will be a moral victory for a Football Club to do this and we will. It'll be tough, but we will do it.'
