Now its Peterhead who we have gone the longest time since our last competitive meeting. 10th Feb 1923 (as opposed to 13th Jan 1923 for Forfar) was our last game with them - is that the longest gap in Scotland. Close to 89 years? Now we just need Peterhead to beat Celtic and we can play them in the next round

While checking these back we do seem to have a knack of drawing the same teams in the cups. In the last 5/6 years we've managed to play Berwick, Dunfermline, East Fife, Falkirk, Dundee, Alloa and Raith at least twice!

Aberdeen haven't played Peterhead since our one and only meeting in the 1923 Scottish Cup. We won 13-0 Bizarrely we havent played Forfar since 1923 either - the round before the Peterhead game!

Any truth in the rumour of Aberdeen making a bid?

Rumour on another Aberdeen site that we've offered a nominal fee for Craig Reid - thoughts on this - and its plausibility? I'd have thought if we were looking at QOS players, Harris or Burns would be higher up the list or at least not, what seems to be, the only player at QOS who would require a transfer fee!
