  1. Frank Reynolds - maybe you could have volunteered to assist and made the stadium look like the Bernabeu Stadium..................................... cut some slack please!!! Those people put the hours in for the love of the club. APPRECIATE
  2. Great Escape OR thankyou Stranraer for letting Jenkins go to Gretna????
  3. Kilmarnock's mascot was parading around at Rugby Park 2 x Saturdays ago
  4. from memory this game did NOT got to extra time ; we went 3-4 in the dying minutes and were all worried IF they equalised we would stutter through as we were dead on our feet. THEN (I'm sure it was Peter Wetherson) grabbed a goal at the death to ensure our vidtory. Sure it was Robbie Nielson's debut to boot - first experience at those lone throw ins and happy days ahead......................... Funnily enough I followed this game with a TA trip to the Faroes and ended up with a load of buddies en route to the the game. They were impressed by our endeavours!!
  5. The names I read were Sandy Kerr and Finlay Jack. sounded like Bruce McKenzie to me...........................................pretty sure it was and of the two Finlays' I know guess Finlay Jack is correct!
  6. Time to reflect and after all the disappointment and disbelief at the performance and another cup exit only a couple of prevailing questions remain - where is the MAGIC? Between manager and captain there was no enthusiasm / leadership / motivation. I mean the lack of inspiration and direction from the dugout was unbearable - compare that to the management team a goal and man down to Arbroath in the promotion-double season, it's like chalk and cheese . I understand the lack of numbers in the squad is hurting and 3 of the manager's "favoured" options were missing but no encouragement was offered. THEN our el capitaine - as great a player he is I fear the position he plays and lack of confidence may be of concern - and as for alternative - PYBUS was the only player putting a shift in (IMO) and thinking of his energy and position could be a possibility? On a final note / thought of Saturday's debacle - I think the Queens Park #5 (Jamieson) was immense - failing miserably to get around him on the ground the aerial attempts were futile until the last 10 minutes when Holt moved forward - the 3 forwards what 5'6" to 9" tall?- against the tallest central defender - did we actually win an aerial battle in the first 85 minutes?
  7. when will the Irn Bru draw be made? Thought it would have come out with the league dates.............................
  8. palmy_cammy - well said!! I hear the lad getting pelters before he even gets near the ball and there is so little encouragement from the "supporters" around. I mean do we think he wants to stop the flow and intentionally fall over??????????????? I for one am glad he has signed an extension and hope young Connor follows suit because if there is any chance of us progressing it is through the youth development (supported by selective mature players of course!!)
  9. Fantasy as it may prove BUT Scott McLaughlin was (IS) the highest-rated player in the QoS squad in the Fantasy League ratings! Regardless of all the jibes about the "fantasy" element of this it must mean that he was consistently one of our better performing players surely??? Unfortunately I fall in the camp of believing he was playing in a league above his abilities however I do think the lower divison, new club, new "scene" might prove his making! I hope so - for his sake (hope he fails to turn up against Annan though!!!!)
