New privately funded roads, petrol costs, blaa de blaa

Guy called Prof. Stephen Glaister from the RAC says the governments own figures forecast 40% more traffic by 2035. He rightly notes that people grumble about traffic congestion, but then again they also grumble about fuel prices.
If the forecast 40% increase in traffic does occur, then maybe fuel prices aren't high enough. Good news for the Chancellor.
Do you think fuel prices are too high? If so, why hasn't it forced people onto buses and trains?
Do you think that new privately funded toll roads are the answer to deal with congestion? -
Films on Telly for Christmas

I'm hoping for another appearance of this one http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093693/
It's a lovely romantic comedy, featuring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, where a joiner kidnaps and rapes a mental patient. It all turns out all right in the end.
So what classics are you hoping will make an appearance? -

Hopefully a new superhero will be born in Fife....Radioactive Man. What with the rusting nuclear subs round the corner at Rosyth, Fife can stand proud as the nuclear capital of Scotland. Dounreay can just f**k off.
