    Posting on the (Top Five) Comedies thread I mentioned my Uncle Jimmy, and that got me thinking, that once upon a time no self respecting Scottish family was complete without at least 1 Uncle Jimmy.

    Uncle Jimmys were usually what would be referred to as "characters", at least the ones in our family were, maybe your characters were Uncle Willies - I had 3 Uncle Jimmys, and was just wondering if Uncle Jimmys were still as numerous as they were in my youth.

    My wife is currently recovering from an operation, so I have been entrusted with feeding us, while she "supervises". So far, so good, nobody has collapsed with food poisoning, 3 days cooking duties under my belt .

    Just went out to check on the spuds - they'd have taken a long time to boil, considering they weren't switched on! :D Mind you, the chicken smells nice.
