Pros - good if your lazy, useful to be able to keep an eye on what you're using Cons - nothing is for free and there's a reason they are desperate to roll them out. It's effectively putting in place a mechanism and allowing a clearer picture to measure peak usage times to allow for additional charging.

I'm glad others have been on hand to help hammer the point home.
