  1. It has the feel of a good pre-season friendly. Interested to see how we set up and how the players perform but ultimately I see it as a game to get out of the way before the real stuff (i.e. the play-offs) starts.
  2. I'm pretty much in the same boat. Was going to go to this but spending around Β£100 for a game that's on the tv, and giving myself a 3 hour drive home down the A9 at that time of night, seems less worth it now. Was always going to struggle with the Morton game as I get back from Benidorm that afternoon. Don't get me wrong, my flight lands at Glasgow at 2:30 so I would've been abandoning the rest of them at the airport to leg it to Cappielow for the second half if there was more riding on it. Absolutely going to the Arbroath game though and will be at all 4 (hopefully) of the playoff games.
  3. Good point. They would of course have to move it if Aberdeen were in both though. If the final was put back a week, I still think they'd go with the semi being Friday/Friday rather than Tuesday/Friday so may still be the reason for not announcing yet.
  4. I assume it's because the 2nd leg of the final is likely to take place the day after the Scottish Cup final so they'll need to move the dates if Aberdeen win on Sunday. I suspect we would switch to the semi-final being Friday/Friday like it was last season (the premiership finished later due to the world cup break).
  5. Yeah, I think we need to accept that one comes with the other in this league (United obviously the big exception to this but that should always be the case with their budget). To be fair though, I would absolutely bite your hand off right now for four 1-0 Rovers wins in the play-offs. In fact I'd be happy with two 1-0 wins and two 0-0 draws. I'm sure the TV audiences would prefer 4 high scoring thrillers (well 6 really but I only care about the last 4) but I'm not sure my heart could take that......
  6. Funnily enough, it actually isn't. Only United, ICT and Airdrie have conceded fewer goals than Rovers (Airdrie 4 fewer and ICT 5 - United are miles ahead). Morton have conceded the same and everyone else is worse.
  7. They were announced on 3rd May last year so would expect confirmation in the next couple of weeks. My guess would be: QF - Tuesday 7/5 and Friday 10/5 SF - Tuesday 14/5 and Friday 17/5 Final - Thursday 23/5 and Sunday 26/5 Above assumes Aberdeen lose the Scottish Cup SF on Sunday. If Aberdeen win: SF - Friday 17/5 and Friday 24/5 Final - Thursday 30/5 and Sunday 2/6 The semi-final was Friday/Friday last year but I think that was a result of the late finish in the Premiership due to the world cup break.
  8. If it makes you feel any better, we want you to win too..... The title's gone so it doesn't make any difference but it would be funny to see United fans start to worry a little.
  9. I'd be surprised if they didn't have any questions submitted about Millen to be honest. I'm sure Niall just chose not to ask them. He was also clearly ready with the mute button on the second part like when he muted the guy while Ian Murray did his best to politely answer the question about subs (a fairly ridiculous one considering we've made subs ad HT in our last 2 games).
  10. In fairness, these types of question really highlight how far we've come as a club. If we'd done one of these 2 years ago, can you imagine the questions they would've been asked????? The fact that things are going well and supporters are able to use their one chance on a question like this speaks volumes.
  11. TBF I think that may have been the question where Andy unmuted himself to follow on from John's initial answer but Niall moved on to the next question without giving him a chance. Edited to add: that wasn't a dig at Niall btw just an observation. Thought Niall did a great job.
  12. I enjoyed that and found it useful. The football side takes care of itself and I'm just glad nobody asked about Ross Millen (well they probably did but Niall did well to ignore them). The main football things we'd want to know are who are we looking at for next season and they're never going to answer that anyway. It was really reassuring to get another demonstration of how positive they are for the future of the club. I've seen plenty of people on here talking about how we've blown our chance this season. The clear message is that we're on the up as a club and the aim is to keep challenging at this level and beyond.
  13. That's actually the way we've been playing recently. We've conceded far fewer goals during that time (apart from against Airdrie but we just can't seem to play against them), but also score fewer too. Not sure how we'll approach this one. The only thing we really have to play for is finding some form/confidence.
  14. Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1 - 1 Raith Rovers Arbroath 0 - 3 Greenock Morton Dundee United 4 - 0 Ayr United Dunfermline Athletic 2 - 1 Queen’s Park Partick Thistle 0 - 2 Airdrieonians
  15. I suspect most of the South Stand probably heard me shouting "Shut the f**k up!!!" to Easton after picking up yet another booking for dissent. He is easily the most frustrating player in our team. When he's on his game, he's practically unplayable at this level. Sometimes though he really needs to just play the simple pass and build from there. You don't always need the little flicks or to take on 3 defenders. One massive positive about his performance on Saturday was his work rate. Yes, we'd all prefer to see him attacking but he was always back helping the defence when needed. He will be far more frustrated than any of us are about his form over the last few months but I really think that, if we're going to get through the playoffs, we really need an on form Dylan Easton.
