Sounds like Iain Wilson will be back in the squad tomorrow. Having him, Oakley and Quitongo back fit for the run in is a massive boost. Anyone heard anything on Strapp?

A lot of fans won't even have thought about buying tickets for the Ayr game yet, I've not even bought mine for tomorrow! Once tomorrow is out the way, I'm sure we will shift a decent amount, especially if we get 3 points tomorrow.

Don't think its absurd at all. There's no doubting his threat/talent but he's also shown very little of it since his hat-trick at the start of January. 3 goals in his last 13 games, with one being a pen and another being a bad mistake from Cal Ferrie last week for the free kick. It's hardly undroppable form. No player should be starting every week purely because he's decent at set peices. Need to be doing a lot more and Dougie is first to point that out when McGrattan, Garrity, Bearne etc start and have little impact. They are dropped the following week. Not shy in dropping O'connor either which I think is harsh. Don't think anyone is saying he's pish here, simply saying we should be able to mix it up a bit when players are off form which he has been for a couple of months now. Anyway, he will start tomorrow and hopefully he scores another hat-trick!

You've got to give credit to Partick that year ( can't quite believe I'm saying that). They went the last 18 games unbeaten I think, winning 13 and drawing 5 or something like that. They were just too good for us in the end. I thought when we won at Xmas at Firhill we would go on and win it but Partick went on a great run and were deserved winners. We lost a couple of games before the Thistle one, Raith and Hamilton away and Dumbarton at home which cost us dearly. Was a good scrap that season!

Dougie is never dropping Muirhead unfortunately with him being our top scorer, set piece taker etc. I like the big man but shouldn't be undroppable especially when not doing enough in games. We started like a train the last time against Airdrie with Garrity and Quitongo on the wings. We looked so dangerous and both were involved in our 2 early goals. I'd play one of them alongside Bearne abd give the big man a rest but Dougie won't. Muirhead can still be dangerous off the bench. It's probably the one criticism you can aim at Dougie with his loyalty to Blues and Muirhead. Good players but shouldn't simply walk into the starting 11 every week. No doubt when Wilson comes back, he keeps Blues in the team and moves him to right wing!( I like Blues too btw) However, in Dougie we trust etc etc.

Think this falls into the must not lose category for us although most Morton fans(myself included) will probably think we need to win this, especially with DU and Raith still to play. Simply can't afford to go 5 points behind Airdrie with 5 to play, would take something extremely special to overturn that. We looked much better on Sat than recent weeks, could easily have scored 4 or 5 and never gave much away at the other end so hopefully we take that into Saturday. Strapp missed out on Sat but thought Waters did well in his absence. Dougie keeps his cards very close to his chest on availability so who knows when Wilson and Strapp will be back. Wilson is apparently back training. I wouldnt be surprised if it was the same starting 11 as Saturday though. Good result for Airdire last night, hopefully a bit of tiredness kicks in and we can take advantage. Nervy, tight game but I fancy us to edge it. Hopefully we take a decent crowd through, 5-600. 1-2.

No one is catching Partick in 3rd. Fully expecting the final playoff space to go to the last weekend though. From a Morton perspective, we looked more like ourselves on Sat so I'm hopeful we can give it a right go. We probably need to win in Airdrie next week. ( hopefully Arbroath can pick up something tomorrow too). At least it's in our own hands, 6 wins and its job done! Will twist and turn every week no doubt.

Jai hasn't been great at all this season presumably due to injuries but I'm glad he's back as on his day, he can be very dangerous, just hasn't happened this season. I'd throw him in for McGrattan who was largely anonymous on Saturday and has been for awhile. If Jai does come in , you'd imagine he will play through the middle like Raith away. Hopefully Mullen back too. Slightly concerned that some players, Crawford, Blues etc will be running on empty. Not confident of a win, Sat was pretty horrible but hopefully we see an improvement and battling performance to pick up at least a point. A win would be massive.

Aye pretty much this. Get through it, 3 points, no more injuries and it's been a very good week.

We got a tad "lucky" in that we found Dalrada who quickly became a key partner and have pumped substantial amounts of money into us helping Dougies budget and the off field operations. Before that, we were really struggling under fan ownership and the budget was horrendous apparently. We also drew Rangers and Celtic away in the space of 8 months last year which generated an estimated half a million. We won't get that every season. We've had a good cup run this season so will pick up decent prize money, 2 TV payments and gate money against Motherwell and Hearts so that should help our finances this season too.

Missed last night so was keen to see the stonewall pen, feck me, Raith fans are having a laugh claiming that. Strapps arm is completely by his side and doesn't move it towards the ball at all, never a pen and glad the ref agreed.
