What supporting your local club is all about.
29 April 2012 - 20:09
Kevin Cuthbert after the player of the year night - “I don’t want the supporters to forget exactly what they mean to the team. The fans who went to Montrose, East Stirling, Queen of the South and Dingwall are the ones that the players really appreciate and I made sure that we applauded them after yesterday’s game. They have been massive for us and are a credit to themselves.”
It's great to know the players really appreciate the extent fans of teams like Ayr and all other 1st division supporters, or even teams outwith the old firm go to, to support them all over the counry no matter how they play. It's a feeling that only supporters like us can get, Celtic and Rangers fans wont get the same satisfaction than we do, and that's something they will never have that we have! -
Play-Offs
19 April 2012 - 09:21
It's fast approaching now, and with Arbroath, Dumbarton and Airdrie occupying the spots can Stenny or East Fife mount an end of season challenege? Haven't taken much notice of the second this year, but with us sitting in 9th just now, I would take the play offs. Who do the teams in the 2nd want? For obvious reason i'd fancy any of the 1st division teams to win the play offs, but from previous experience in the 2nd, I know the momentum of coming into on a winning streak can over power a better team. Looks like this could be an interesting one.
Good luck to all teams involved. -
Bitter ex players
02 February 2012 - 10:25
Has there been many kicking about the first division? Noticed on twitter last night Andy Rodgers, Dean Keenan and Scott McGlaughlin all having a pop at Reid, Rodgers in particular, and not the first Ayr incident recently, with him having a go at Stevenson when fans were getting excited on twitter about a possible return. It's clear he bears a grudge with being binned in the summer when we were promoted, and Keenan just being realesed after all the injuries. (was never good enough at this level anyway)
Was just interested to know of any other stories regarding players leaving. -
Dundee Football Club
11 August 2011 - 14:47
Dundee have told Ayr that they wont be letting Ayr fans (Somerset Ragazzi) in with our bannres/flags/drum. I personally wont be going due to what happened two years ago, but I know a few who are. Why wont they allow this stuff? No other teams have had any issue with bannres or that so why are Dundee an exception? -
